  2. Well the fishing wasn't great but we had a blast. Big thank you to Lyteline, Chowder and Lavarock. We managed to boat a few fish for the Newby's that just happened to draw the long straws. Personally I think the straw drawing was rigged. :P We ended up with 2 lakers and a LL and a couple of perch<--- wich by the way was my time to man the rod  the lakers were 7lbs 12oz. and just shy of 10lbs. one on inline planer right out in the middle of the lake in front of Tfalls 5 ft down on a firetiger junior thunderstick go figure? and the other not to far past the middle of the lake was on the dipsy with a silver flasher green fly combo 50 fow. We did a lot of jumping around on Sat. fished the south end in the am nothing doing and then drove up and launched out of Deans cove around mid morning managed to land one LL 22in. off the inline in about 120 fow 125 back on a 2 piece rapala yellow in color, we didn't do much fishing after that because there was some Hiking?/Fishing? involved wich later on was referred to by our Captain as Mutiny!! All in all we had a great, fun, memorable weekend we met a great bunch of people down on Cayuga had a lot of laughs, lots of stories to tell all in all a very successful trip.

  3. Fished from Ibay east to about half a mile past webster pier didn't get any hits until about 9am started fishing about 6:30, first hit was a quick released steelhead broke the line looked to be a good sized fish 115 ft. back of an inline planer in 12 fow off a orange and white 2 piece rapala. second two fish came shortly after that. One was a small steelhead 125 ft. back in 6 fow on a black and silver rapala and the second one was a small coho 125 ft back 10 fow on a firetiger junior thunder stick. All three fish hit east of Webster pier. Had a nice ride back to Ibay in 4-5 ft choppy rollers because we were fishing and not paying attention. A big thank you!! to the guy that let us ride his wake back to the bay !!

  4. My friend was also down there today 3-2-09 about 4:30pm or so he said there was a bunch of eyes, the pike seem to have had a light spawn this year unless they are running late but usually they are before the walleyes. Another guy I know said there was a bunch of pike running in the stream just east of the inlet stream a little further east up sliker hill road.

  5. Probably the easiest way is to go all the way down the west side of the lake route 256 after the end of the lake look for sliker hill road take a left and there is a DEC parking area on your right then just follow the inlet upstream toward the swamp.
