  1. Boat is sold. Thanks for looking. I will be selling a smaller boat for a friend shortly.

    $5700 - Negotiable

I am selling my Lund Rebel 16, complete with outboard, trailer and accessories. The general condition of everything is very good to excellent. It is a great fishing boat, and has been well taken care of. It gets compliments everywhere, including my driveway. I have many things included in the price, so it is negotiable. Take a look, and send me a message for more information and my phone number. Serious inquiries please. The title is clear, and the trailer registration is transferable. I am upgrading to a larger boat.

Here are some details on the boat. It is a flat vinyl floor, with no soft spots. It will include 3 pedestal chairs. It is pre-wired for navigation lights, bilge, and livewell. It has covered rod storage, plus additional storage up front, and under the front deck. It has a 6' beam, and is stable enough to walk around while on the water. The trolling motor is currently unmounted, but the boat is pre-wired up front for an additional battery that is not included. It is a light boat, and can be easily towed with a small vehicle. It is easy to handle with one or two people, but big enough to fish Lake Ontario on better days.

    Package Includes;

2000 Lund Rebel 16 - Red, part of the Adventure Series, new bilge pump in 2012, new starting battery in 2011

1999 Honda Outboard - 4 stroke tiller, with electric start and charging alternator, manual tilt, factory tool kit

2004 Loadrite Trailer - galvanized bunk style, new tires in 2011, frame mounted spare, boat guides for easy loading

Minn Kota AutoPilot Electric Trolling Motor - electric foot control, maximizer, rarely used, shows some signs of weathering and travel

2 Lund Pedestal Seats - will include a third seat as well

Lowrance X135 Sonar - pro series fishfinder

Mooring Cover - new in 2012 with 3 bows to keep the water off

    Color matched fenders

    4 rod holders

    2 fire extinguishers

    Anchor

    Mooring lines

    What else do you need?

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

Went out on a new boat with the owner (I usually run out of Hughes). We set out dipsies at 80 FOW and had the king in 15 minutes while we were setting downriggers. We were at about 110-120 for that hookup. We fished that area and out for the next 5 hours. We had one fish smash a spoon on the surface before we attached the ball, but it dd not hook up. About 5 hours later we went back in shallower to see if we could pick up something before heading in. We picked up a small laker at about 80 feet on the dipsy.

The king was caught on Green/White Spin Doctor with Green Atomic Fly. The laker was caught on Green/White Spin Doctor with a handmade white fly.

Happy Father's Day everyone. Spending today home with the family.

  3. Thanks for the report.

We caught 2 out of Hughes going east first thing Saturday morning. Nothing after that. We had a hard time finding any stained water. The other boats that came in around lunch time were all skunked. The two we picked up were on Purple/Orange Jr. Thundersticks. I was wondering what colors were working for you? Also, did you notice any difference in speed for your bites?

    Thanks,

    Tom

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

My son and I were set up for trolling Saturday. Fish were jumping near shore, and lot of bait fish in real shallow (small minnows). My friend was set up for casting spoons, but I only had one spinning rod in my small boat. We casted a few times on a speckled cleo and immediately hooked a nice 24" rainbow. My friend was in another boat next to us with no luck yet. We fished in and around the break wall with a few more hits, then started trolling with no strikes. Marking fish everywhere in the alcove near the marina. Around 9 AM when the sun was bright my friend started hooking up by the break wall to the marina. He caught several rainbows from 20-24" and then moved out to the point. We met him there and hooked up on two nice 25" rainbows taking turns casting with my son on the boat. My friend and his dad had many colors and caught most fish on Orange or Green and silver. He managed to get 17 rainbows and one nice brown about 13 pounds. He also broke off several fish in the process. We saw several dark kings trolling the shore line as well.

Went back on Sunday, wind out of the north with 1-3' rollers. No fish jumping, no bait, but still managed to catch 2 nice rainbows in 5 hours and two other bites near shore. Then my battery died, and I had to emergency start my outboard to get in.

Next time I will make sure I have more gear. Hopefully we will see some more days like that this fall. Catching nice rainbows on light tackle in calm water is a blast. Lots of jumping, and lots of runs from the boat. I will be carrying a spare battery too!

  5. I fished Hughes today for the first time this summer. We had two releases for Browns in 70-80' on downriggers with purple/black stick baits. We boated one about 8 pounds and had one break a line that was similar in size.

We fished from 6-11 today, and I also noticed that the fleas were much less than past seasons. Maybe a 1/4" of them near the swivel and another by the ball. Not bad at all. Hope to get out again next weekend.

  6. Fished Saturday, 4/24. I ended up with one brown about 2 pounds. That was it. Fished from sunrise to noon. There were quite a few boats out, but they were all over the place from shore to miles out. Talked to another boat that landed two for three. Saw two other boats land a fish. Everything looked small. Not sure when I can get out again.

It was still a great day on the water. Probably too calm and clear.

    Cheers,

    Tom

  7. Thanks Chris,

We fished all day out of Hughes. Never hooked up in the morning in Holland Cove or Pultneyville. Fished Ginna for the afternoon after the swells calmed down. Nothing down there. I only saw about 3 boats left on the water past about 11AM.

We will be out of Hughes this Saturday again. I plan to run to the power station if the weather cooperates. If not, we will be fishing in and around Holland Cove again.

  8. Hi All,

Friend of mine pointed me towards this forum. I have a 16' Lund V that I fish with my young son. We get out when we can. We try to catch a good bite in the spring for Browns. We have had some success, but want it to get better. We have had some terrific days trolling smallmouth in the summer.

Right now I am just hoping to pick up some tips and pointers to get some more success in the spring and fall for trout and salmon out of our little boat. So that limits us to calmer days, and fishing closer to shore. Right now we concentrate our efforts on flat lining stick baits. We will stop and cast some of the tributaries with Cleos and Jr. Thundersticks.

I just borrowed a pair of planer boards, but I think it will be hard with my boy trying to help, and I am not confident in how to set them up and handle strikes without getting all the lines tangled.

  9. Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum. I generally fish with my young son near Pultneyville. He can't go this weekend, but my dad is driving up from PA. Anybody heard any good fishing around Pultneyville and Holland Cove (Hughes)?

I would really like to see my dad hook into some good fishing on Saturday. He only gets here about once a year now that he is getting up there in age.

    Tom
