  1. Hoping to get out this weekend in if the weather holds up. Anyone still out fishing these areas? My son and I fished offshore a couple weeks ago and got into some great steelhead. Thinking there still has to be a lot of stagers around, maybe browns inshore. Any info is appreciated.
  2. I have the unit listed in the title. When I get out over deep water, say 400+, the transducer will not pick up bottom. Once I get under 350 feet or so I don't seem to have any issues. Is there something I can change in the frequencies to get a decent return and picture when offshore. The only frequency settings listed were chirp and 200 khz. Thanks!
  3. Fished 6:00 to 10:30 and we STRUGGLED. Fished from 20-220 fow and just could not get anything going, ended up 2/3 with a coho and steelhead. Talked to a few other at the launch who echoed similar results. Had a nice surface temp break out in 180 ish and that didn't pan out either. Until next time...

  4. Taking a group of kids out Sunday afternoon. We typically fish the upper river and Lake Erie. How's the bass bite been in the lower. Any info to get me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
  5. Hello everybody. I will be heading up with my family for the week next Monday. We are avid fisherman from the Buffalo area and spend a lot of time on Lake Erie, the Niagara River, and Lake Ontario. We will be staying on the Canadian side of the river near Rockport, basically west of Kring's Point. My kids love to fish as well. Not really targeting anything specific, but will most likely be after perch, pike, and bass. Contemplating leaving my walleye sticks at home as we can run out on Lake Erie and catch them whenever we want. I haven't fished the river since I was a kid. If anyone can offer up any pointers I'd appreciate it. Message me if you're more comfortable with that. I'd gladly return the favor to anyone traveling to western New York. Thanks!
