  1. Fished 1030 - 130. Went 10-13 which included a double and a triple. Only fishing three rods solo so bite was decent. A good breeze started blowing out of northeast and called it a day. 6-10 fow. Hot steel and perch colored f9s were best. Two went over 10 lbs with a few 8-9 as well. Nice color cold water yet.

  2. Looking for a few spoons, half dozen or so. Stingers or dwss for browns. Clowns, nbk, purples, greens, dwb. All the spoon lots are usually pretty big on here. Just looking for a few to add to my small collection. Only fish the big o a few times a year and don't have much money to dump into tackle. Pm me if you have a few you're willing to part with. Thanks.

  3. I started fishing in the spring a few years ago. Last summer I decided to try for browns in the summer for the first time seeing the freezer was well stocked with perch and walleye. I only have a 16 ft tinner so i picked a couple nice days to head up. I do not have a probe so I looked for the thermocline on my graph, this was in August. Typically it was in and around 65 ft. I then concentrated on 60-75 fow. Pay close attention to the bait. Browns are pigs so whenever I found bait balls on the bottom I got bit. Never crushed them, caught 6 or so each time but still had fun. Divers out fished the downriggers 3-1 for me.

  4. After looking at the regs, I understand a limit on lake o is three fish in combination.

Are lakers included in this three fish limit or can you keep two in addition to your three fish.

Never kept any lakers but sometimes fish for them in the spring after browns.

  5. Just started fishing spring browns a couple years ago in the 16 ft tinner. Just about any stick bait will work. Natural patterns work in most conditions except if your in really dirty water brights have their days.

A spoon or two in the mix is a good idea. I have a couple clamp on downriggers and spoons did not catch as many fish as sticks but did take some of the bigger fish.

  6. Anybody know if the river is fishable after yesterdays wind on Lake Erie. I had been planning to fish it tomorrow but not sure about maikng the drive now. I heard visability was about two feet on the river this morning. Would that be fishable or a crapshoot?
