  1. first of all I'd like to thank the members who replied to my post with advice on how to improve my setup. it definately helped. launched out of Myers around noon and trolled north/south a few times. picked up one keeper landlock on silver/black husky jerk in front of the light house off the boards. then headed across the lake (west) and found three 12 inch ll's on our lines when we reached the west side. so much for the little ones staying close to shore. ran north/south for a few hours and landed a mix of skippers and keepers on the same black/silver husky jerks and clowns. spent an hour trolling all the way up to taughannok point without so much as a release, then picked up two nice ll's just south of the creek. headed straight back to Myers from Taughhannok across the middle of the lake and landed a mix of skippers and legal's, including the 27" 8#8oz brown in the pic attached. threw most everything back except a few legal ll's. the big brown went back in too. i see all the biachin about the little ones not surviving, but it doesn't seem like there is much we can do to keep them off our lures. i just hope the mortality rate isn't nearly as bad as some people claim in might be.
