Low and slow. It is the least complicated fishing ever. And gambler rigs work so so well

There used to be 2 distinct populations of lakers- an eastern and western group. It looks like this is still the case, with a little overlap. Cool stuff

I personally hate inlines. It’s nice to just fight the fish... but that’s just me. It’s not so vital to turn right around, but pay attention to the spot for hints about why they are there, and make sure you pass back through it relatively soon. I’ve had 20 fish days where almost all of them came in a pocket off of one particular point or trib

I’ve been very pleased with 8’6” ml ugly stick. Tough, but not too stiff. In 10 years only one issue, and they replaced it no questions asked

It’s nice. All floating docks, and I like the guy who runs it. Worth a look for sure

The whole south shore, but from oswego to Rochester in particular, is excellent for spring browns. Last year Webster was best, 2 years ago oswego. Sodus has it’s times too.

I’m not kidding when I say put down just about anything and you will catch a lot of fish. Meat and regular sized spoons are good for us. Idk why, but flasher/fly are a relatively small part of our program early season on the bar

I’d be careful with looping around beads. I use the tips of toothpicks to pin them in place. The teasers should be spread by roughly a foot each. And yes, definitely use a bead chain. I made a video I can share If you want.

One of my major winter projects is organizing tackle. The boat can be an absolute mess with if you aren’t careful. Over the years, we have honed how we do things. Below is a video I made about organizing spoons, fly/meat rig components and already made lures on leaders. I hope you enjoy!

Two that come to mind are the 30 lb carp we caught trolling for browns in April, and the 3 lb smallie we caught in 200 fow down 60.

Btw- I loved the increased and improved pen rearing initiative, and the improved stocking techniques discussed.

Back when there was more complaining by some about lack of attendance i made this point. Hell even if you made one a Friday or a monday i could work it around a weekend where i could only have to burn one vacation day. Nope....only Tuesday- Thursday and @6pm or so.... so i have to burn 2 days to make a meeting. Im all for attending but if they wont bend once in a while why should i upend my life.

These guys work 9-5 m-f like we do. And there are like 6 people who present; so getting their schedules coordinated is a bear. That’s my guess why they are during the week
