  1. I had Mike "iron duke" on board for the derby with his good buddy Nick for Saturday. I pre fished 2 times the week before and man oh man was the fishing spectator...Wednesday boated over 40 fish but all small, and Friday dialed it in with over 40 fish again and a big brown, 7+ rainbow, an 8+ laker and and another decent brown. Saturday we put a hurting on the 3-4 pound Lakers with the biggest fish being a 6.45 rainbow that mike cooked up on th bbq and was delicious! We just couldnt get the size Saturday but would guess we were well over the 40 fish mark. Sunday it just me and mike and it was definitely slower, maybe 15 fish. All in all it was a great week to be on canandaigua, but man was the launch on Sunday a fiasco!! At least a 45 minute wait to get off the lake!20190607_071348.jpeg20190607_070805.jpeg20190607_071220.jpeg20190608_174441.jpeg20190605_084616.jpeg

  2. So to be clear I don’t think NYS sold the marina to anyone. The state still owns the land but has leased the operation of the marina. At least that is what I understand.

    By the way. Happy Easter.

Yes that is correct, they leased it for somewhere around 40 years...and soon we will find out how much land they are leasing also. sorry I got caught up in an emotional rant.

  3. I'm just going to say this because it really pisses me off and I'll probably get it trouble for it...but this guy has figured out a way to do this marina and own it with almost not even spending a dime, doing it with state money that was allocated and state Grant's that the freaking state could of used to keep the marina if they had their heads of of there ass and most likely im sure their padding their wallets from it! I know Joe did everything he could but the people in Albanly are idiots!!

  4. Just an fyi the the town donated their time and equipment and the park paid for materials, otherwise we wouldn't of even got that done, be thankful, it's all political. Just think how much of the rest of the road could of been paved they could of used the money for those stupid cottages, which are falling apart already, or put it towards the marina, which now is not owned by the state anymore. It's all very very sad how this all went down. We lost something that was ours to money.

  5. I know this is late but I have thank a few guys that make up a the great group of fisherman on this site and are the perfect example of the kind of people on here. Saturday morning fishing in the Seneca Lake 333 our boat had dead batteries, asked some people at the launch if they had jump box, nope. Asked a guy I didn't know his name if he had one and he said no but I have jumper cables, before I knew it he was driving his truck over the break. Now John Wild (Nautitroller) I have never met and mind you was competing against that day but regardless was willing to help in any way to get out boat started. Then we had to guide the ole PY by Jason Oakes and his crew on the Great Lakes Spoon Co boat which they all helped in getting her to the wall and hold in position to get her jump started. These kind of things are what makes this group of guys so special on here. Team BB&D Mojo owe you guys because we would of spent the day at the dock and not had the day we did without you!! Thank you,

    Brett

  6. My weekend started off Thursday with a trip to the chiropractor and then Setting up camp in the rain on Thursday! We used Friday as a scouting mission with nothing to log except fish in usual spots not biting and a lot of small salmon. We were able to grind away with a few decent rainbows and 2 lakers one around 8lbs that won BBF! The rest of the weekend was a grind with small fish and could not get a laker bite to save our life. Fish and bait every where but just couldn't get any size fish g from 20 to 150 fow. So Monday with the switch in wind and and conditions I went into the archives and decided to pound shore south of sampson. We made a 20 minute run to make a north troll and the the screen was lit up. Made 1 pass with a laker and a few salmon. Turned picked up and ran south again to make the same north troll. Reset top lines with heavier weights sat down locked up and saw a good fish jumping way out behind boat. Found the rod and it was game on. After about 5 nerve racking more jumps, 2 of which were 20 feet being the boat we finally got it to the net and then the yelling and high fives and leg shakes began. We decided to pull lines and end the weekend on a high note with a 10.22 Landlock!! Congrats to all that placed considering the fishing and to FLX Troller, Blue Ghost, and Reel Stories, for sharing what information we all did have to try and help each other out.6988.jpeg6928.jpeg6811.jpeg6987.jpeg
