  1. Hi, With the wind out of the west tomorrow morning, I'm assuming the area I am most familiar with (Oswego) is out, so I will be going out of Mexico instead. I have only fished out of Mexico once and I didn't have any luck then. Can anyone give me some pointers on the area? I'm not sure if it would be better to go west or east. What the bottom composite looks like. So, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chip

  5. Ok, so I'm just going off the companies word.. 200 ft of torpedo weighted steel will 19 strand backer. This will give you the same depth same as copper 200ft of copper. But with the wire backer, just let out another 200 of wire and you hit the same depth and a 400 copper. Another 200ft of wire and you reach the same depth as 600ft of copper. 2 rods covers all the depths. I set a couple of rods up to try this year, so don't know for sure. 9. Hi, I have a couple of new rods set up with 200 ft of Torpedo weighted steel and Torpedo 19 strand backing. I want to be able to run them out the side of my boat using church boards, but can't find a way to attach them to the wire. I know i will have to replace the stock plastic pin with a stainless steel one, but how do I attach the wire to the clip?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Chip

  11. I have flies and meat rigs for sale. All flies are tied using 36 inches of 50# Seaguar fluorocarbon, a #1 VMC 4X treble hook, a 4/0 Gamakatsu single hook and a rattle. Prices are $4.95 for 4 inch flies and $6.50 for 6 inch flies. All meat rigs are tied with 50# Seaguar fluorocarbon, a #1 VMC 4X treble hook, a 5/0 Gamakatsu single hook and a 6 ball 100# SS bead chain. All the meat rigs are approx 53 inches long and the flies are spaced every 12 inches. However, the flies can be adjusted if you would like a different spacing. The tournament tied rig keeps the treble hook at the end of the herring strip. This prevents the treble hook from sliding all the way up to the meat heat and missing the short bite!! Prices range from $8.50 to $13.00. I also have coho flies for $2.50 each. I accept paypal and buyer is responsible for shipping. I can also create custom patterns for you. Just contact me and we can work out the details. Thanks. C

  17. I have a 10 different varieties of meat rigs that I have tied up. All are tied with 50# Seaguar fluorocarbon, a #1 VMC 4X treble hook, a 5/0 Gamakatsu single hook, a 6 ball 100# SS bead chain and a 80# duolock snap. All the meat rigs are approx 53 inches long and the flies are spaced every 12 inches. However, the flies can be adjusted if you would like a different spacing. The tournament tied rig keeps the treble hook at the end of the meat strip. This eliminate the need for a tooth pick to hold the hook in place and prevents the treble hook from sliding all the way up to the meat heat and missing the short bite!! Prices range from $8 to $11 plus shipping. I accept PayPal. I also have a few other rigs, or can customize a rig for you. Contact me for further details.
