Thanks for the report; I fish the same area. I hope to be out as many days this weekend as the weather and waves permit. If you are seeing a lot of knock offs, could I suggest that you slow down to ~2.5 mph and see if that improves your luck. If you were going 3-3.5mph, it may be a touch fast. Cheers.

Do you plan on fishing U.S. or Canadian side of the lake? If you are fishing the Canadian side, I'd recommend Port Darlington or Whitby. They held the Scotty KOTL tournament at Whitby this past weekend, so that should be some indication that the fish have arrived there. Cheers.

Same story for Whitby on Sunday morning. Very few fish seen on the finder. None boated, none on. Saw a number of boats in the area; didn't see anyone pulling anything in. Talked to other guys at the ramp, everyone had the same story.

Boated my first king today. It came in at 23#. It was a real thrill hooking into this one I'm looking forwarded to finding some more of the same. The rain brought us off the lake early. Depth 95fow, trolling at~60. Basically straight out from the harbour. Lake conditions dead calm. Using a NK purple on back.

Marked a lot of smaller fish off Duffin's Creek. Location about .75km out from weather buoy. Running in ~90fow; most fish at ~25ft. Boated 1 rainbow on light tackle. Big fish...no Delicious...YES! Fun...You Bet!
