Ive got two large Okuma LC levelwinds and id like change over to wire. Is there any problem w spoolin up #30 wire on a levelwind. I realize ive got to change over to rods that can deal w wire through the guides. any recommendations on a quality rod that wont break the bank(i need two). Best brand wire? ive been looking for any listings for a small temp probe called the gmt40. I can find little to no info about this product, i.e. usefullness, quality. Also the cabelas fishtemp is eluding me in my searches! Im looking to save some cash as ive gone broke up on Lake O several times so far this year but im tired of guessing down temp. I believe ive got speed down pretty well. Should i just save my cash for a moor or hawk or is there an alternative? Thanks fellas Jeff

Dont lip weigh them, just unfair to the fish. Weigh the fish in the net, release, then subtract the weight of the net. Berkeley offers an IGFA certifiable scale at half the price of the boga. The jaws are wicked but if just weighing a net full of fish, who cares! Jeff
