What do you want for all the spoons??
-
In Fisherman Magazine had quite an article about Kings at night a while back.
-
Well, after pounding those fish since the end of July, looks like we found out as well that it is over for us. Not going to put effort into something that is not.
Also, almost got hit by some dipstick, when we were clearing the breakwall, of the Big Salmon.
That SOB was not 150 off it, in the dark, and fog!!!!!!!!!!! Musta not thought that any boats would be coming out??????????????????? WTF????
Then his brother,(dipstick #2) was hooked up, and damn near hit us out in front of the state park. Combat fishing ain't for me.
Going to get ready for the bow season, and try to shoot a few ducks/geese also.

Only as safe as the man behind the trigger. I agree.
-
I agree with Ray.
Whatever brand you are using, and as long as they do not give you trouble, those are the best ones.
My old Mag 10's just keep on truckin'.
Sure I had to put a couple of bucks into them over the years, but not of any real consequence.
Just happy to have the equipment to chase these fish around.
-
Green ladder-back, works good as well.
-
I'll second the motion, on this being a very good site indeed!!
-
Where can I see them this weekend??
-
Over Limit,
PM was sent, but how much for a "pkg price?"
-
Hate it when gear breaks like that.
-
Sounds like you folks had a good day!!!
Thanks for the good info.

Great to hear FISH HUNTER! Had some guys at my Lodge that were up from PA out just south of you, that did pretty good on kings, 1 real big one!
We heard on the radio just that as well.
Looking like it could be a blast very soon!!!!!!!!!!!

24-26 lbs Kings.
Flasher/fly rigs, with dry fires on the spoons.
All equipment ran well!!
First time on the Big O this season, and it looks good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Next weekend can't come soon enough now!!!!!!!!!!

He had his boat docked at the main dock at Marion for a while this year.
Have not seen him around lately.
-
Better get the OK from the Mrs. first, if it is anthing like here!!
-
Those fish are going good in several areas.
Hair or Iron jigs, as well as harnesses.
Also many guys are pulling Rapala's with leadcore, or on riggers.
-
Spent many a night there when they had the bluegrass music. Great folks. Ain't been there in a while though.
Do not hear of any activity from 'ol Butch these days.
Were you aware he had won the NYS Lottery?? TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry you found this site , now open up the wallet and say goodby to the greenbacks. You will be changing your thought process from now on...Steelie dan is not a band ,gator is not a reptile,get-er-done is not a red neck saying, lemon ice is not a drink , 3.0 mph IS fast, spin docter is not a female doctor driving in circles looking for a good parking spot, flys dont fly, flys bite, a king is a fish, your balls are lead , down probes has nothing to do with bill clinton, 10% of the water holds 90% of the fish , 10% of the charters own 90% of the lake ( I might post nice oak story) , sea sick walders stand upright (hunched over sorta ) and its a spoon too , and the list will go on and on...welcome home!!
Ray,
I have more Salmon/Walleye tackle than one actually needs. You know the drill.
And certainly agree that 3.0 off the gps would be motorin' right along, for sure.
Grabbed a couple of Habenero Spin Doctors(can't ever get just one) last visit to my friend, Jim Dence's store.
Hope to have some in the box early Saturday morning this week.

We too have been through this in our family. Kept a mighty stiff upper lip, and with time, it seemed to lift the pain.
God Bless you folks.
