    I actually encountered Lamprey in the Chautauqua lake watershed back in the early 80's. I caught some with a net when I was probably around 12 years in a small creek that feeds into Chautauqua lake. I remember my father telling me what they were. They were definitely the strangest thing that I had ever seen at that time with all those teeth around their mouths...

    I believe the state is going to lose a lot more revenue from tourists than they think they can save by shutting them down...and we will go even further into debt! Let's try down sizing government and consolidating schools and police departments. That's right...they don't want to lose their jobs. Times are hard but our parks pull in a lot of out of state money..so lets use welfare labor to man up our parks that would save a lot of money !
