  1. Come see me at the Angler's Workshop on Saturday Feb. 1st from 9-4 at the Twelve Corners Brighton Middle School. I will be doing Fly Fishing knots for leader design sponsored by Main Window Cleaning and Fly Casting Tips in the large gym at 11:00. Proceeds at the door go to Trout Unlimited and Upstate Fly Fishers.

  2. I was using a large 5" spoon in 16' of water and caught a 4 & 1/2, 26" pike in 16' and then tried jigging the same spoon in 30-60' and landed two browns. The big one was 5 pounds weighed on a certified IGFA scale and then I landed another smaller one. Felt good to catch a beautifull brown with out any downriggers and a great fight. She came right up to the surface and jumped. I don't know why they were in shallow water except cruising looking for bait to eat. I cought all three fish around noon then it shut down.

  3. Is there any chance of hooking any species like bass, carp, or trout or salmon with in 30' debt or less? Are all the fish gone deep because of the warmer water temps already? I would like to target one of those species with a fly rod from a boat and with an integrated sinking fly line I can probably reach my fly down to 30' maximum debt. I appreciate any help. I am afraid I would be waisting my time except for perch at the south end..
