  1. Hello Tom. I have been hosting this event on our property and a sponsor of the Pro-Am for a very long time. Do you plan on hosting it here along the River behind Quality Inn?? I believe you have my cell phone - give me a call when you have a chance please. Thank you. Shane B
  2. I am looking to go fishing in the Islamorada area in March - Monday to Friday type trip. Fish 3 days. Looking for captains in the area to fish with. Place to stay also. Any good ideas? A captain that wont mind you having a beer or 20 on his boat. Thanks. Shane
  3. I just wanted to thank every one who participated in this weekends Oswego Pro-Am. We have had this event behind the hotels along the Oswego River for a long time. A lot of you stayed in the Hotels and ate at Steamers through out the weekend. I can only hope we continue to have this event for a long time to come. I have been involved for a long time and now my kids are down helping out - good stuff. We even went through this weekend without getting wet - I think a pro-am first. I am greatful for the relationships I have gained with Captains through the Pro-Am over the years. A lot of you have heard me say that our fishery is the single largest tourism generator for our properties year round - thats a fact. A great event with real good people. I wish we had a lot more of these events in Oswego. Thanks again Shane Broadwell GS Steamers Bar & Grill Best Western Captains Quarters Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Riverfront
  4. Next weekend is the Tri-Oswego event weekend. I am spreading the word that next Sunday morning the Wrights Landing boat launch and Marina will be closed from 7am to 11am. Over 240 Triathletes will crash the waters at 8am and swim either the sprint distance 1/2 mile or the Olympic 1 mile swim course. The transition area where athletes change from swim to bike and then again from bike to run will be located in Wrights Parking lot. For the safety of the athletes the parking lot, intersections and roads will be very controlled. The event will be over by Noon on Sunday. For those planning to leave the dock during that time from we have made arrangements with the City. They are allowing boaters to relocate to the International dock the day before at no charge. For more information please visit the http://www.tri-oswego.com web site. We have great events scheduled for Saturday June 25th also. Health & Wellness expo, kids fun runs, kids bike safety programs and much more.
  5. Hello Tom. I am wondering the date of the A-Tom-Mik Challenge this year. I wanted to get it on my calender of events that are happening in Oswego during the summer months. Thanks pal - see you around. Stop by some time and lets talk about how I can help. Shane
  6. Hey Tom. I would like to add an over night stay gift certificate at the Econo lodge Inn & Suites w/ $25 gift card to Steamers package as a prize for your tournament. It sounds like things are coming together nicely for this tournament. As you know we have the "Oswego Festival of Sail" tall ship event that same weekend. However let me know if you need anything else, what ever I can do to help. Shane
  7. Hey Tom, Sounds like that weekend will be a nice weekend around the Oswego Harbor. I am working with some others and we have 3 Tall Ships coming to town that weekend. Sounds like they are coming in on Thursday night and leaving Monday. They will be over at the Marine Museum Pier. We are working on creating a nice kids & family style event the whole weekend. They are heading toward Toronto. The following weekend is a huge Tall Ship Event that will be then heading west through the Great Lakes. Congratulations on the Challenge. It is rightly named. If you need anything to help your event, dont be afraid to ask. You know where to find me. Shane B
