  1. I may be able to help you out? I purchased an X4 2 years ago. Due to "stupidity" on my part, I took off out of my driveway with the Display only on my gunnel!! I was taking my boat for service and lost my graph as well. Anyway, I have a 2 year old X4 probe, transducer, display mount, and the power wire for the system. All you would have to do is by the X4 display ($300.00 is the cheapest I've seen it). I would offer to sell you all that I have mentioned for $200.00. If you buy the display only, you would have a X4 system for aprox $500.00?
  2. Just had to rub it in to us didn't you my old friend? Wish Mike and I had your schedule lol! Guess I got to get the batteries charged now. Great work...you always put your time in. Seems like your buddy loved it. Hopefully get out in a week or so, by the way...can you make the winds blow less than 5 mph for the rest of us weekend only guys??? (This reply sent by old fashioned keyboard!!!...see you soon...campi)
  3. Could be a combination of things, distance, speed, lure weight. If you were back at least 80 feet, and your speed was as you say, a spoon would run high if it was too small and light and possibly have "gunk" and weeds on it. Stickbaits usually don't have this problem. If spoons is what your running, try a small spitshot about 3' in front of it. This will take it down slightly and act as a gathering spot for any floating debris in the water. Hope this helps??? Mark "Matilda K"

Coming out Sat am. Last weekend the slime was around 180 fow to 200 fow. I would like to avoid it if possible. Too much time checking the lures...ya know. Can anyone tell me if it's still around? Thank You, Mark "Matilda K"
  5. Just a note, have had the same unit now for 2 years! Great for Ice Fishing as well!. Great for marking structure while in the boat, and using them on the ice later! It's a great deal.
  6. Also, Congrats on getting back!!!. Got you beat however, been away since 1991 after fishing from the late 70's. Just went back myself out of the river last spring. Still stickbaits as before on planers. Nice to know after all these years, black & silver, greens, and black colors...still get the bites. Glad I kept all my riggers! You will have no trouble getting back into it! Been fishing the finger lakes while raising a family. Now that they're older they come with me and experience the lake and all the good people out there. Good Luck and tight lines!!!
  7. Nice Work! I'll be out there soon enough. Nice Pics. Talk to you soon! "Campi" (P.S... ya think the username I picked was appropriate???)
  8. Hi Shawn, What size are those Convectors...if they're still available? See you at the Ice Shows this fall. Mark Avon, NY (Elmer and Bill's Buddy)
  9. Name: Mark Location:Avon Home Port:Portable Boat Name/Type:Matilda K / 1985 Grumman I fish for:Salmonoids, Perch, Walleye ================== Hi Everyone, Just returned fishing the "Big Pond" since about 1994! Been raising family in Avon. Learned to fish the finger lakes. My thanks to "Mr. Breeze" Charters for re-planting the itch in me. Never really lost it. Look forward to talking and meeting some of you. Will be going out of Sandy most of the time. VHF will be on 16 or 72. Your help and knowledge will help me re-learn some of the new skills needed out there. Good and Safe times for all.
  10. Maybe they meant Sunday...Not Saturday! I was right beside you in the 17' Center Console. I did boat a 20" King 50 foot down over 140 (When I could get there). Did you like the way the wind suddenly shifted directly from the north at 15 to 20 mph? That was enough for me...I pulled up, got soaked going in. Anyway, better luck next weekend!
