  1. Left the dock at 4:30 with my boss and his son. We started off Braddock in 110'. Temp was down 80-100, fish and bait all over the screen. We mainly fished 110'-160'. IMG_7092.JPGIMG_7093.JPGIMG_7090.JPG

    Went 9/10

    7 kings, 1 brown and 1 laker

    Riggers 75, 90, 100

    Dipseys 220 and 240

Spin doctor glow with green dots and cut bait with glow head and 42nd doctor with stud fly caught most of the fish.

    Great evening!

  2. Got a late start to let the lake calm down plus there was a full moon. Left I-bay and started just west of Braddock in 140'. Nothing but warm water no marks. Turned north and found the fish at 350'.

11 for 14 salmon and steelhead.

Spin doctor 42nd with stud fly was the most productive.

    Riggers pared 130', 140', 160'

    Dipsey 300' and 320'

  3. Got out this morning before the wind shift. Headed west out of I-bay so we would have following seas home. Fished just west of Braddock bay in 120'-140'.

4 kings all on riggers 90'-110'

Stud fly with spin doctor and black spoon with the glow eye forget the name. Highlight of the day was 32lb king Off the 93 rigger. Put up a great fight especially in the wind. IMG_7068.thumb.JPG.35c346a947d9fb1871c859ec3c0a6763.JPG

  4. First trip in a couple weeks due to work.

Fished west of Rochester in 90-140 but the best water for us was 95'.

    All rigger bite.

    60', 75', and 80'ft

Familiar bite behind the golden retriever flasher with glow head was the ticket along with green dolphin stinger.

15 for 20 kings a mix of 2 year olds and a 5 mid teens with the biggest at 20lbs.

I tried for browns but could not figure out the program today.

Can't wait to get back out next weekend.

  5. Left I-bay and headed off Bradocks starting fishing around 5pm within 20 min the first king hit the deck 20lber. In 3 hours ended up with 5 kings (15-20lbs) and 1 10lb Steelhead. We dropped 5 other kings and caught 4 skipies.

Hot baites were familiar bite behind golden boy flasher with glow head on the 90' rigger and familiar bite behind spin doctor with glow head 220' dipsey.

The screen was loaded with bait and feeding fish 90'-140' of water just west of bradocks. Probably could have doubled my catch but I was driving and rigging with no autopilot. Doubled up 3 times but only was able to boat one each time. Can't wait to get back out!

  6. 29 June- 1 July MCOC

First, this was great tournament!  Thanks to Matt, Rich, Lucas and Mike and everyone that helped.  In addition donating to a good cause.

29 June: Got out of work and headed to the boat, left the dock around 4:30.  Started just west of bradocks bay in 120' where we had got some nice kings the weekend before.  Screen looked great and fish  were from 70 to 100.  We ended up with 5 and mix of Lakers and small salmon and the lake was dead calm.  But on are way in we worked into 90 feet with fish all over the screen so we new where we had to be in the AM.

30 June (Big fish Friday):   First time fishing a tournament like this having to catch all four species.  We started off bradocks bay in 90ft of water and the action was hot and heavy.  A mix of small kings, Lakers and browns.  We ended up with 19 fish but could not get a steelie otherwise we would have been in the $$.  The hot bait today was the Stud fly behind spin doctor 42nd. I had our biggest king today hit the copper as I was putting it in the planner release.

    Our spread consisted of:

    3 Riggers with a stacker 70-100

    2 Dipseys 200-280

    2 Coppers 350, 500

1 July MCOC:   Started in the same area with the same spread but the bite was slow and the first fish of the day was that steelie.  We worked 90-140ft all day and ended up with 9 fish mostly Lakers.  We  weighed 3 fish, having little experience fishing  a tournament like this I threw back a 7lb king (lessoned learned).  The story of the day for us was we took biggest laker 19.42lbs.  He hit the 500 copper and we could not move him so we decided to circle him to gain back all the line.  It was a great three days but my wife wants be home now at least until 5 July when I am headed back out...  We also made the news for  seconds.

  7. I'm heading out tomorrow. Might Try for kings in the morning then move in for browns depending on the bite. The water color along the shore looked good for some brown fishing from I bay to hedges. They will be there for another month especially with the cold weather. Call me in 68 (fly n fish)

  8. Had to walk through water to get to the boat, got rocked from Shoreline back wash, dodged debris, got rained on but..... Great day of fishing.
8 browns, 2 coho and the first king (12lb) of the season for us. Worked a pocket of green water east of the bay in 10'-15'. Bayrats 100' off the board along with the chinook divers and slim stingers took all the fish. The bonus of the day was a 11lb 8oz brown and we are on the board! Can't wait to get back out Wednesday - Saturday. IMG_6717.thumb.JPG.82f7811d3ff39a25284b71d25a7fb3eb.JPG
