  1. the inside water usually takes the broad stroke of warm and cold waters, the farther you go off shore the water stays more stable, example; the thermalcline could move 20 to 30 feet on the inside waters while the off shore waters may only fluctuate 10 feet, another thing to keep in mind when the temp is in the basement on the inside water you can find the temp higher offshore, sounds good and easy to fish right, wrong, problem with going offshore is the fish are not concentrated like they are in shore so it takes some time to find them, use your fish finder and find bait and work that bait, hope this gives a little more info that you wanted, oswego can be frustrating to fish but when you have offshore waypoints it makes it a little more interesting and should be able to put more fish in the box

  2. gonna give you the best advice, definatly is the leader getting caught in the treble like the others say, but to fix the problem take a small rubber band i prefer red or blue, and wrap in and around all the hooks on the treble, by doing that you are closing the openings between the hooks on the treble so the line doesnt get caught in them and cause a nick, now as for red and blue it gives a little attractor also, good luck

  3. its slowed a bit from 2 weeks ago but still alot of fish to play with, we went 8 for 12 on saturday and 5 for 9 on sunday, best flasher fly combo being pro troll pretty girl with big fin glow fly and chrome with green dot spin doctor with glow hammer fly, they were in 200 - 250 fow but with the calm winds this week they should push out, good luck

  4. had some guys from virginia on boat and they asked what the flasher was suppose to mimic, i told them what i always thought it was ,' a fish attacking' and the fly was its missed oppertunity, i never questioned that answer before cause that is what i always thought it was until they, which troll the ocean for its bountiful fish on a near daily occasion said to me that the way that flasher may be concieved by a fish, is a small school of bait fish and the fly is the one lagging behind, i dont know now, the way it spins could look like a ball of bait fish to a salmon and some do hit the flasher on occasion, WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK ? i do know one thing it catches fish so i guess it really dont matter, but its a good debate

  5. I think its the proof of a successful pen rearing program, its in its 3rd year and look we are getting 3 yr old salmon, everyone should pat themselves on the back for this program, I hate paying taxes in new York but where else can u go and have the great fishing of cold water species and warm water species and salt water lets not forget about the waterfowl the deer and Turkey, the list goes on for sportsman and women, I often thought about moving but there is no other state with the diversity outdoor enjoyment

  6. Will non ethanol gas make my engine recover faster after trolling, right now it couphs and sputters for about 3 minutes and I use the blue ethanol treatment and the plugs got about 7 trips on them, if it does help I would definitely go out of my way to get non ethanol gas

  7. Does it really make a big difference when trolling, it takes a long time for my spark plugs to clean out after a day of trolling, the engin coughs and burps and chugs for about 3 minutes, will the non ethanol gas help in having less buildup on the plugs and make the engine run better after trolling that long, I use the blue ethanol treatment but I can't tell if it works or not, worse thing about it the plugs are new this year with only 7 trips on them
