Based on reports from Sat thought I would head to deeper water N of Hedges on Sun morning.  After all, the NOAA wave forecast was 1' or less.  Ha! Once I got out there it was a 1-2' chop with the occasional roller underneath.  Note the horizon in the picture.  Set up about 250' and worked my way out to 450'.  I found one heck of a hole in the 380-390' area that drops 70' in very short order.  Marked a lot of fish and lost 2 before landing this 24 lb guy.  FF combo with a silver/maroon flasher followed by yellow/white UV glow fly 95 over 420 fow.  The reel screamed and I pulled the DR up and just let the wind take the boat NE.  The wind/boat cooperated well and the GoPro captured the rest. Solo fishing can be relaxing and exciting all at the same time. I stocked the freezer the week before so I took great pleasure in watching this one revive next to the boat and take a deep dive home.  I guess my query last week on fishing N of Hedges paid off!   

Still wouldn't trade it for anything 

Just wondered if anyone out there has done any near shore smallmouth fishing from Sandy Creek to Webster..  I have not but I was just wondering if anyone has tried and and had any luck.  If so can you reply with any information/details.  Thanks!.  
Was lots of small mouth in the bays 3 weeks ago. Salmon fishing now but look for them when waiting for launch with not much luck in lake

120 feet...holy crap. Bait everywhere, marks all over the place from 20 ft to 100 ft. Carbon 14, raspberry carbon were on fire.  2 off meat 200 back. And the best of all...my sons first ever Atlantic on 300 copper with raspberry shadow.

Hit the lake around 6 came in at 11 little bumpy for my 18 footer but did OK. Started in 50/60 and went East looking for a big brown on luck . Switched over to the king program fished out front park and East 120/150 went 3for 4 last One broke off the Treble hook on a fly. 2 bites on two face spinning and green fly ,1 on 42 second Spinny green fly and 1 on chartreuse  Spinny meet rig.

that looked like a Fishmaster 210 to me.  Great boat what a terrible thing to do to such an awesome boat.  I hope they catch the guys and are able to prosecute them.
