  1. You guys will love this...reported today in our local news here in VT. Good luck to you all at your rally! ALBANY, N.Y. —New York will change its newly toughened gun law so military-style rifles and high-capacity semiautomatic handguns can be used on the sets of TV shows and movies. Gov. Andrew Cuomo and legislators say Wednesday they'll exempt the productions in New York from bans they rushed into law as the first in the nation after the Newtown They must also quickly fix another error that could soon put police officers carrying high-capacity magazines in violation of the law. The need for a "clean-up" bill means the fight over the law may not be over after all. An estimated 10,000 opponents of the new restrictions will descend on Albany Thursday as legislators consider additional amendments Read more: http://www.wptz.com/news/vermont-new-york/plattsburgh/Semiauto-rifles-for-TV-movies-OK-under-NY-gun-law/-/9277622/19109770/-/7yis2d/-/index.html#ixzz2M9QFf3ua
  2. I feel for you guys. I feel so much safer over here on the eastern shore of Champlain knowing that your Ruger 10/22's are now going to be Ruger 7/22's At least take some comfort in knowing that it's not just NY, the entire friggin country is circling the drain...as evidenced by the last presedential election.
  3. Would like this to go...16k without the mast's and riggers.
  4. I have a 1996 Lund 2450 Sport Cabin for sale. Boat is a 24 footer, with galley. This boat has been restored, including paint, decals, and upholstery to factory spec. Has a 2003 4.3 LX w/ closed coolant system, Evinrude 9.9 4 stroke kicker, outdrive new in 2010, new electronics, Big Jon captains packs and planer mast's. Recent repairs on motors include exaust baffles, carb rebuild, coils, and tune up. Excellent boat for your lake and ready to go, needs nothing. Boat is in Vermont, on the southern end of Lake Champlain. Price is 19k. PM me here for contact information. Based on questions I have had on this boat, I'll add that I will sell the boat without the equipment and kicker (not the other way around), and I would be interested in hearing any offers with a smaller boat in trade. Also able to offer financing by running this through a local dealer.
  5. Greetings all, I have about convinced myself to leave Champlain for good and make your lake the new permanent home for my 24' Lund, but my experience there is limited to a few trips out of the Salmon River area. I was leaning towards the Henderson Harbor area, but I wonder if being there will mean a long run south to get into trout and salmon. Planning a road trip next weekend to check out marinas, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking, Gary.
