I'm reasonably good with technology and still could not figure out how to get these pictures to load so they are rotated top up - apologies. If anybody would like right-side up picture, my number is in the listing - happy to text. Even better - if somebody knows the trick, I'd appreciate it! They are correct on my computer and now amount of rotating them around makes it better here for some reason.

    Sold / Closed Proline 230 WA $6,500

Reduced Price - $6,500 10.3 I’m selling my Pro-Line 230 Walkaround. Hull is 1989 with a 1994 Evinrude OceanPro 225 HP outboard mounted on a bracket. Sea Star hydraulic steering. Trailer included. Motor is fresh water only and runs immaculate. Always been maintained as appropriate. Idles perfect, trolls down nice, and pushes boat well over 30 mph. These 6 cylinder looper engines are pretty much bulletproof and I converted this one to pre-mix for reliability. Two props included – 3 blade and 4 blade. Boat is solid with no soft spots at all. Has full bridge enclosure which was new in 2018. Eisenglass still clear, soft and flexible. Bottom painted in 2019. Fuel tank has been replaced. The only issue I’m aware of is the tilt/trim switch on the throttle needs to be replaced. It works but motor will from time to time go down without hitting switch so I leave it disconnected. Tilt/trim motor works great – I just trim it from the second switch on the cowling. I love this boat for its huge wide open dance floor for fishing. Motor mount provides a full height transom and nice deep walkaround makes it really safe for kids as well. It also has lots of onboard tackle storage. Selling to move to more of a family friendly cruiser. Included – Raymarine auto pilot w/ remote, heavy duty Panther kicker mount up to 35hp four stroke kicker, Garmin 53dv fishfinder/GPS, Compass, VHF Radio, 2 tite-lok triple rodholders, 4 rocket launchers, 4 cannon downrigger bases, Magma bait prep board, Bluetooth radio head unit with 2 speakers, portapotti, anchor with line, fenders, dock line, swim platform w/ ladder. Has two batteries with perko switch. 27 deep cycle new 2021 and 24 starter new 2020. Trailer – 1988 Shorelander. 2 brand new axles with hubs in 2019 and converted from surge brakes to electronic brakes. All 4 tires new in 2019. Spare new in 2020. Located on trailer in Springville NY. Call or text Mike at 9 one 4 4 four 3 one 5 three zero. $7,500

  12. Appreciate everyone's input! I do agree that some amount of fumes will be released into that compartment - hence my original concern. I do feel it is fairly vented so I have a decision to make. Putting boat in water this weekend so will explore if swim platform is viable for me. I really like the idea of the fume detection - regardless of where I end up with the tank. I didn't know those existed but will look to purchase and install one - thanks for that!
  13. Thanks, I do have a small swim platform that would hold the tank - in my situation, it’s pretty low to the water so would prob be fine on calm days but I would worry about water constantly flooding over the tank in bigger waves. To add some context to my first post, that area isn’t air tight, I do have some holes where my downrigger cords enter and some flush mount rod holders that provide some ventilation. It’s certainly “enclosed” though. I’m leaning towards leaving tank where it is, putting batteries in boxes with lids, and opening doors for a bit before staring and every so often. 14. I just purchased a new four stroke kicker motor. My main motor is an older 2-stroke and I bypassed the oil injection and premix fuel and oil in my onboard tank for the main motor. So, I need to use a small remote tank for new kicker with “straight” gas. I was originally excited that the tank tucks nicely in the pictured storage compartment in the rear of my boat. Now that I’m looking at it, thinking this could be a pretty big hazard as my batteries and bus bar are in there also. Any thoughts? Wondering if rigging up a vent hose from tank lid to an external breather would be safe or if I should just avoid this location all together? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Thanks Rolmops. I actually think this is a 1973 based on serial number. I’ve owned it for about 10 years with no issues. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Thanks for the correction - yes technically a 9.5. Apologies if I mislead by 0.4hp. I’ve always commonly referred to them as 9.9. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. Two Scotty manual downriggers. Both riggers include cable and tilt/swivel bases. One has stainless cable and the other has coated cable from use with a Moore Subtroll. Counters work well on both. One has rodholder, other does not. One is missing handle, other has handle. Pictures show everything included. Looking for $200 for the pair. Located just south of Buffalo. I do also get to Mexico NY fairly often if that helps. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Hi, Wondering if anybody has experience adding an alternator/charging capability to a manual pull start Mercury 9.9 or similar and any insight on what all is required? Specifically, I'm looking at a 9.9 model number 9.9ML part number 1f10211fk. Some internet searching turns up that it does seem to have a 6amp alternator despite being pull start. I'm skeptical on that? Additionally some searching on these boards and others turns up Mercury Part 856558a2 - which appears to be readily availabe for around $50 "Charge Kt- Battery". The charge kit appears to just be a set of cables - does anybody know if that is all that is required to add charging capacity to a pull start 9.9? Is there anything else needed? Has anybody done this and can share any experience or advice? Looking in the manuals, it seems that the 6amps is only achieved at full throttle with little to no power generated at idle but I'm thinking it will take a few thousand RPMs to move my 24' walkaround at salmon trolling speeds, hopefully would be enough to replensish a battery running 4 riggers? Thanks!!
  21. Hi, I'm looking for 4 Tite lok adjustable rod holders. With or without bases Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
