im no expert but was up at the salmon river labor day weekend years ago  they were already in the river i know its more about temps and water level  for staging fish your better off mid till end of aug  by sept they are making the run and once they turn in the river not very good eating you want them fresh still in the lake

My wife did this past weekend - and I couldn't help but to laugh at her...... great times, great memories.

As of this morning still no docks at Mexico.

Sorry no the show will not happen this year.  COVID restrictions remain in place in NYS that do not allow us to have this event.  We are planning on 2022.

Surprised they lasted this long, the two stroke concept died after the market switched to four stroke.  They certainly took their engines to the highest level along the way though.

Hey guys finally took my boat  out for a shakedown. Canon mag 10 the auto up will start to go up like 20’ft and then stops. Any ideas?

I have a 18' Smokercraft Phantom.  It is all aluminum with a 90 Honda on it.  The issue I am having is keeping the bow into the wind.  If the wind is pushing 10 or above it is a b!tch to fish out of alone.  In the time it takes to put a rigger down it can just about do a 180.  I have tried drift bags and they helped a little but they require me to troll above idle and there is that typical flat spot in the throttle.  I was thinking about adding a trolling motor to the bow but not sure it would do the trick (and it would be an expensive test).  Anyone have any ideas for simple things I could try?  Thanks.

For me it depends on my target I might run wire on inside dipsey and mono on the outside one if steelhead are present. Or if I am just targeting kings it might be steel on both

We run meat flasher fly and spoons all at same time and faster than most think possible just have to tune head to spin properly at the speed you are running

I have put a trollmaster on my last 2 boats and would not fish without it. Have had no problems other than some interference with fishhawk on first install had to reroute wires and fixed it

I wires for new motor are coming in contact with wire for temp unit or even close may have to shield them. Sometimes it is as easy as wrapping them in aluminum foil or routing them differently if you have 2 batteries make sure power for temp unit is coming from opposite battery as the kicker
