Thanks for the report. Is there any ice off of Maiden Ln?
  2. Went out of Bear Creek on Saturday at 1pm. Fished 120 - 170 FOW. Marked lots of bait at 70 - 110 and many fish hugging the bottom (Lakers?). Had two riggers down 120 and many fish looked but none took. Still a beautiful day out on the lake with friends.
  3. Thanks All! I like the idea of the local tourney outing. I also like the weekday suggestion. I could take a vacation day. Bowbender, I think we saw you come out in the evening. We were out at 150 just crossing between the power plant and a mile east of the launch. We found the bait just to the East of Bear Creek. Cheers, Steve (aka Radwing01 585 314 8730)
  4. Went out at about 2pm. Started marking bait at 75 - 50 ft at a depth of 145 - 160 ft. Found a big cloud with hooks underneath and bang! Two releases with one breaking immediately. The other held on and Rodney caught his first ever King. 23# . Caught a few more smaller lakers in the same area. Lure: NK Black & Silver @ 75 ft (other release on a black & green fly behind a dodger at 50 ft (same side)) All & all a beautiful day on the lake with friends. I'm still a rookie at this but learning every time out.

  6. Name: Steve Location: Ontario, NY Home Port: Bear Creek Boat Name/Type: Nan , 17ft Sea Nymph I fish for: All kinds (trout, salmon, bass, perch, pike, walleye, crappie, catfish...wet and ice) ================== Hi All, I'm new to LOU. I'm somewhat new to Trout & Salmon fishing in Lake Ontario. We did well with the Browns this spring but now I want to try to boat a big summer king. We're heading out tomorrow, launching from Bear Creek Launch in Ontario, NY. The B&E guy says they are still catching them in 100 - 200 ft of water down 50 - 80 ft. Any other news or advice anyone could offer would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve
