  1. I can't count the times I've seen the forcast wrong. That's why I go by what I see. And even then Sandy cam can show light winds but when we make the run out it gets rougher and rougher. By the same token, I've seen it rough near shore and when we made the run out to 500, 600' it would be dead flat. Lady O can do some weird stuff. Guess it's a crap shoot.

  2. FLX .....here are some links for ya for weather. On the first one go to the map and click where you fish.

  3. Northern King told me they were having trouble with their glo paint. Maybe in the future they might have the SSW again, but it sounded like it would be a while, if ever. Perhaps that's why they still offer it on the website. Also, not everyone knows how to edit a website. I know there are more colors available that are not on the site. I'm not making excuses for them, but maybe cutting them a little slack. Let's see how this turns out. I hope NK continues making the quality we're used to. I still love the spoons, but I don't like the sound of this 'imaging' thing. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. As for customer service.......well, that's another story.

  4. I finally got my spoons today at 6:00 pm. The substitutes they sent are ok and I'm happy again. I just wish it hadn't taken 3 wks. for them to tell me they didn't have some of them. They were all packaged too. About 2 months ago I ordered the SSW and again it was weeks before they emailed me that they didn't have them, and weren't going to get them. This time I didn't even bother to ask for them because of what I was told before. I love NK's and have used them since the 80's. Excuse the pun, but they're 'missing the boat'. Good fishing all.

  5. Yes, I love the NK's too. They definately need someone to oversee their website tho. I'm not surprised they didn't answer you about the pic. High fives tho.....sounds like a football. If I were in charge, I would have jumped at the chance for free publicity. Yeah, customer service sucks. Im goin' to Gander from now on. Oh and FYI...they told me the SeaSick Waddler is not available now and probably won't be. So if you guys have any......treat them like gold........they probably ARE.

  6. On May 1, 2012 I ordered $83 worth of NK's from Northern King. They called me 3 wks later to tell me they didn't have 70% of what I ordered, but would substitute and throw in a few extras. They'd ship the next day. Well, I still don't have them on the 24th. Buyer beware.....what they advertise they have on their website, they don't have most of them. And unless you're ready to wait a month for what they DO have? you might as well go to the store and get what they have so you can use them on the coming weekend. I don't think I'll order from them anymore, unless it's in the winter for the spring fishing, it might take that long to get them.

    Thanks for letting me 'vent'.

  7. We got out at first light and started casting just off the mouth. Then trolled east to west. Water was waaaay too clear and we didn't find stained water til just west of the pier. We went 3 for 4....all cookie cutter browns, but I guess we did better than most boats. While casting in 8-15 feet of water, 2/5 Cleo's in gold, copper, and silver and chartreuse took fish. While trolling, a silver and black stick (bomber) was the ticket with 100' long line. Nothing off the riggers (ran Stingers) and nothing off the boards. I think the lines off the boards weren't long enough, but we have an electric trolling motor and thought shorter lines would be ok. Beautiful day out there til around noon when a N breeze set up....just enough to make it cold, but not enough to cause a chop. Quit around 1. Can't wait til next weekend. FYI....2 docks are in, but not the floating dock.
