Yes sir. It was fun but uneventful. Oh well!
BTW ....the tiger was caught around the other side of where we were!
-
I think that looks awesome! However I am not a fish!
Nice work!
I have been tossing around the idea of making some baits. I think it would be fun and extremely rewarding if it catches fish!
I wanted to try the making baits with real fish skin ....

That would be great rnsurfnturf, that would save me some trouble of having to haul that up. Do you have the oil & temp gauge for the oil, if not it's no problem for me to bring my digital one. Thanks PAP.
I have the POS gauge that came with the fryer (BP model).
Probably your digital gauge would be much nicer.
I have "overshot" oil temp a couple times due to the slow reaction of the gauge and the inexperience in me.

Good thread! The only thing I cant keep on the boat are release clips...watched quite a few of them disappear!
Justin
I have participated in the demise of a handful of your release clips on your boat!

Oh....and did I mention my reading glasses that went down the hole at the same time? Hey Tim I have an extra one of those S-cables someplace here if you need it....
Thanks les....as cheap as they are I will swallow the purchase of another one because of my stupidity!
BTW , all of those jigs were packed into that little vex box? WOW!
-
Dont set your brand new unused s-cable for your vexilar flasher on your lap to get something out of your pocket and then forget about it. Only to stand up 10 minutes later and watch a perfect swish into your 8 inch hole and then proceed to watch your S cable on your vexilar swim to the bottom just like a bluegill you just released.!

THe more I use that reel -gator......if I figure out its me bumping it with my gloves...after this season I may just shorten the fingers on the star wheel....
I do like the reel a lot compared to spinning reels and for the price of it...
-
Those are some great outings with kids!
Good stuff....
I have the eagle inline ice reel...ive noticed the star drag loosening up ...not sure if its my hands with gloves on or doing it by itself....ihad to switch mine over to reel right handed

Yes , I almost pulled a no-no when my buddy iced a nice smallie on a tip up on otisco last year and we checked the regs right there on his phone!
Thats why I remember it...
I jigged up a nice fat 17" smallie on saturday on otisco in 38' but back she went....
