  1. No now I cant wait! Your doing great work verry well organise. Respect Claude Thanks again Claude! And we're working on it, we're working on it!! Going out again tonight to try to get the last bit of footage needed for the cannonball compilation. You wont have long to wait!
  2. Thanks Claude - glad you enjoyed it. More to come ....
  3. Hi everyone, The following is a sampling of the fish we caught during week one of the Great Ontario Salmon Derby including one Chinook just over 25 pounds. We have also been experimenting with a cannonball camera setup to add to the angles we already have and have included a few rough sequences in this video. The next video to be posted will be just a compilation of the best from those cameras - some cool footage and it's interesting watching the salmon and trout behaviours just prior to the strike. For those interested, most of our fish during the week came from the balls set at 80, 90 and 100 feet in 100 to 315 FOW and the wire dipseys on the 3 setting back 250'. Predominantly a flasher/fly bite with greens being the most productive and a number taken on spoons, also glow green with dark spots. Hope you enjoy,
  4. I would have to agree. Haha [ Post made via iPhone ] That 'dipsey rod' was actually another downrigger rod spooled with 20# monofilament - not no-stretch braid or wire. So, yep you saw a hook set! With the drag set to click on an outside turn, a good rip on the mono dipsey wouldn't always result in a hookup (no different than a good rigger release) so a good hookset was needed. Wouldn't do it with braid or wire, however .. Thanks for watching and we appreciate the feedback!
  5. The following video is a brief excerpt from our latest adventure on Lake Ontario. This trip focused on targeting rainbows on June 27. Hope you enjoy
  6. Thanks elevatorman and Fish Hunter for the comments! Currently cutting the sequel to the salmon video. Should be out in a few days.
  7. Hi Tom, We do multicamera editing (sometimes 4 different camera models and 12 cameras) for our videos in the Final Cut Pro suite of software which includes DVD Studio Pro for DVD authoring. There must be an easier, less expensive way of editing just GoPro footage only and burning to DVD - I'm just not sure what it is! I'll take a look into it and post back.
  8. Mortigan and Just Fishin', thanks for the feedback! We spent a fair bit of time getting comfortable with the kayaks before adding the camera mounts and taking the Canon's for a test drive. We've since taken them on some good wilderness adventures. If everything goes well we should have a new video out from different locations and featuring different species every week to 10 days. Out on the lake again tomorrow for rainbows so the next video might not be too far off ...
  9. A 32gb class 10 card will serve you well. We're using Sandisk and Kingston cards and generally haven't had to change out cards during a normal outing. Extra batteries are a must, though. They only last about an hour on the 1080 30p setting (r5).
  10. Thanks for the comments, Tom. The net and outrigger cams are GoPro Hero2's running with wireless controllers. You'll enjoy the camera!
  11. We finally have a boat running on Lake Ontario again and decided to take a break from kayak fishing to chase some salmon and rainbows. The following is Part 1 of our series on Lake Ontario fishing. Hope you enjoy.
  12. Hello everyone, We survived the blackflies of Algonquin during our week of camping/fishing and are now in the process of sorting through the GB's of footage we took. We've put together some of the Channel Catfish footage for starters in the link below. In the next day or two we'll also be posting a timelapse sequence of a dragonfly emerging and some good underwater footage of a snapping turtle who visited daily - both of which were pretty cool to watch. One bonus of an Algonquin adventure in the Spring is that if the fishing is slow there is always something else going on around you. Many moose and eagle sightings - bald and golden, the snakes, bullfrogs and turtles are out and active and the miniature world of insects and spiders is coming to life. And, of course, at 4:30 every morning a trio of Whippoorwills would start their repetitive calling until sunrise - probably to remind us to take them off the endangered list ..... More footage will follow shortly. Hope you enjoy
  13. We recently spent one night in Algonquin Park preparing our kayaks, camping gear and cameras for the upcoming season. Before leaving we had a chance to do a couple of hours of fishing for Shorthead and Silver Redhorse Suckers. The following contains a few minutes of outtake video from the trip. Thanks for watching and please Subscribe as we will be uploading full length videos weekly starting May 28th, 2012
  14. A short film with underwater footage following the salmon run in Lake Ontario tributaries during late September and early October 2011. Enjoy Fishhunter3
