  1. Nevermind the sale pending post, he cannot use the reels so it is still for sale.
  2. I took the reel off the shaft and took a pic, if that was your question. The reels are essentially bolts with a nut next to the bolt head securing it to the mast. Next to the nut goes a washer, then a plastic piecc and then the rubber washer goes between that and the reel. It appears the reals can be used on anything that is thin and flat with a hole drilled into it, like an L bracket or something. Anyway I hope this was helpful

  4. Hi, up for sale is a Wille 6' dual reel planer mast with bolt on and seat base mounts, releases, etc. I bought this about 30 years ago and it has been in storage for over 10 years. It comes with everything shown in the pictures. It works well and is in good condition, but it is missing a flat rubber washer for one of the reels. It was missing since I bought it, I believe it makes the reel operate smoother when letting the boards out however I never cared enough to make a replacement as it works ok as it is. I am located in Southern California and I must ship them there. I can take payment by paypal and I already have made a sale here and the buyer was completely satisfied with my description of the items. I will sell everything EXCEPT the 6' metal mast (only the reels, springs, pulleys, mounts, releases, hardware - everything but the metal pole) for $65 including shipping. If you want the mast too it will be $100 including shipping - it is 6' long and costly to ship. Feel free to ask questions. Thank you for looking.
  5. Hi, up for sale are 5 vintage spinning reels. I am selling as a lot only since I am in Southern California and I must ship them there. I can take payment by paypal and I already have made a sale here and the buyer was completely satisfied with my description of the items. Here is a list of the reels included in this lot, and they are all spinning reels and they have all been in storage for over 17 years: (2) Shakespeare 035 Sigma Supra reels (4-8lb test) - good to very good condition (1) Shakespeare 2400B-035 Sigma Graphite reel (4-8lb test) - very good condition (1) Shakespeare 035 Sigma Pro reel (4-8lb test) - excellent condition (1) Shakespeare 035 Sigma Pro reel (4-8lb test) - for part (works but feels stiff, missing drag cap and handle cap, bail spring not functioning) I am only selling as a lot, it is too costly and difficult to ship separately. I am asking $140 for everything including priority shipping. Feel free to ask questions. Thank you for looking.
  6. Hi, up for sale are 2 Down East rod holders. They both come with 2 bolt on mounts plus there is 1 additional clamp mount so you can take one with you on another boat, dock, chair, etc. Note: Pic shows 1 mounted to the bolt on mount, then next to it is the other bolt on mount, and then the second rod holder is shown mounted to the clamp mount. They are in good condition but the mounting hardware is not all original. I am located in Southern California and I must ship them there. I can take payment by paypal and I already have made a sale here and the buyer was completely satisfied with my description of the items. Included are 2 complete bolt on rod holders plus the extra clamp mount. I am asking $30 which includes priority shipping. Feel free to ask questions. Thank you for looking.
  7. If you think seeing these ads makes you sad try writing one We don't have freshwater fish, or rain/water for that matter in Southern California. Everything is too expensive to ship to Europe too. It is a Vexilar depth thermometer. I believe it is a mercury thermometer in a pressure sensitive glass tube, about the size of a test tube. You drop it down on a string with a weight and then wait, then pull it up and it will tell you what depth it was at and what the temp is at that depth. I never read the depth feature though, I just attached it to my downrigger ball and dropped it down a certain depth, then waited a minute or so and then retrieved it to see what the temp was at the ball. I think I paid $15 for it, they are not expensive.
  8. Ok, I sent a message back. I think I included everything you need to make a paypal payment. If not please let me know, this is my first paypal payment
  9. Hello, up for sale is an assortment of trolling dodgers, flashers, spin doctors, dipsy divers, squids, and flies. Everything is in excellent condition. Included are: - 9x Dreamweaver 8" Spin Doctors (5x are new and unopened) - 6x Luhr Jenson Dodgers Size 0 - 2x Luhr Jenson Dodgers Size 00 - 4x Luhr Jenson Dodgers Size 000 - 1x Troll King Dodger Size 0000 - 3x Luhr Jenson Dipsey Divers Size 1 (2 new and unopened) - 3x Luhr Jenson Dipsey Divers Size 0 (2 new and unopened) - 2x Luhr Jenson Mini Dipsey Divers - a few dozen trolling squids and flies. 3 of the spin doctors are missing the snap swivels, perhaps something else may be missing to. Please look at the pictures for what is included. Everything has been in storage for a long time (10+ years). I am asking $150 for everything which includes priority mail shipping by the USPS. I am currently in Southern California and it is going to be difficult for me to bring back all my gear to sell it there so I am giving this a try. I believe I can take a payment with my paypal account (or request a payment with paypal) and then mail it out priority mail and it should arrive there in 3 business days. If anyone purchases this set I would also appreciate if you could please respond to this thread after receiving everything as I have a lot of other gear to sell including a huge tackle box with 100 plugs and 100 spoons and I could use the positive feedback. Thank you - John
  10. Since I already closed this post as being sold I will start a new for for sale topic in a week or two. I am very busy trying to get my house listed for sale now. I would like to try to sell some items here through the mail and take payment with paypal. I think it is going to be too difficult for me to bring things back to NY state to sell, I am moving to Europe this summer and I am trying to sell all my belongings before I move. I already sold the downriggers out here but I have just about everything else aside from a few of the fishing poles. Have a nice week, thank you for the patience.
  11. I don't know if shipping that will be an option, I imagine it will be expensive to ship the 6' mast. I know the planer mast is not going to sell here at any price though, they don't even know what it is here in socal. I can look up a shipping price, maybe I can take a paypal payment if I upgrade my account. I will look into it later this week, I have a few busy days here getting my house ready to be put up for sale.
  12. Cecil is a Rat Terrier mix I believe. He only had 1 day left when I got him from an OH kill shelter. He has 80k miles on motorcycles and he will bark at cars doing 75mph to get out of his way! Check us out on Halloween!
  13. Sorry, I pulled the ad a few months ago and updated it to sold. I did sell the downriggers locally already. I am not sure when/if I will be back in Western NY, I kind of got the rug yanked out from under me in the place I was going to stay. I may look into putting the tackle box and trolling gear and some other things up for sale on ebay when I can get around to figuring out how to become a seller there. I was hoping to be able to sell more things here in So Cal but Great Lakes fishing gear is not in demand here. It is very hectic now as we are moving to Europe and I am selling off everything I own (except for my dog). If I get going on ebay I will post links. I hope the weather warms up there soon and the browns come in early
  14. BTW, I will probably be selling one of my motorcycles back there too. I am not sure if any of you guys ride motorcycles and have a 20-30lb dog that has a love for rapid acceleration (0-60 in under 3 seconds), but if you do then I have the bike for you!
  15. It's cool guys. Whereas it might be ok to send a check for a small amount for a handful of lures or something it is not really wise to send a large check for a large assortment of equipment from someone that you do not know. I wasn't even worried about that, I was more worried that my opinion on the condition of my gear might not coincide with someone else's opinion. Most likely I will not sell much, if anything, out here in Southern California and it will be available once I get to Buffalo. Thank you for your kind thoughts
  16. I'm sorry people. I don't know how to take payments and I am not so sure about shipping. I am used to dealing with people in person so there are no misunderstandings. I think I will just close this ad and I will put everything up for sale again after I sell my house in California and get back to Buffalo, this way I can sell everything in person. If my house does not sell right away and I start selling on ebay or something then I will put it back up again at that time, but I have never sold anything and shipped it out. Thank you - John
  17. Sorry no pics yet but I did take inventory. I had a few rods and reels that broke in storage so they are not on the list. This is a list of what I have, nothing is really standard Great Lake setups though. I am swamped because I am selling everything that I own to move overseas and I am working on my house now to get it prepared to put up for sale in a few weeks. It may be best for me to wait until I return to NY to try to sell everything. I am not sure how to sell long distance, but my fishing equipment isn't going to generate interest here in California. Anyway my current list of rods and reels are as follows, and condition varies and a few have had eyelets replaced. Reels: Fly: Garcia Mitchell 758 Ultralight Spinning: 2x Shakespeare Sigma 025 Light Spinning: 2x Shakespeare Sigma Supra 035 1x Shakespeare Sigma Pro 035 1x Shakespeare Sigma 035 1x Shakespeare Sigma Pro 035 but missing drag cover and plastic cover on other side of crank 1x Mitchell 308A 2x Shakespeare 35 Medium Spinning: 3x Shimano 300Q 1x Penn 712Z 1x Shakespeare Sigma 2200 040 Heavy Spinning: 2x ABU Garcia Cardinal 658 Baitcasting type reels: Penn Long Beach 60 Penn No 85 Penn 940 Levelmatic Penn Peerless No 9 Rods: 8' 3 piece Shakespeare FY 12-R Flyrod 4'9" Fenwick Eagle Graphite Ultralight Spinning 5'2" Berkley Graphite Ultralight Spinning 4x 6' Ugly Stick Medium Action Spinning Rods 2x 7' Shimano Bull Whip Medium Action Spinning Rods 2x 8'6" Daiwa Eliminator Med/Hvy (12-30lb line) Spinning Rods 7'9" Mitchell Cascade Spinning Rod 6'6" Browning PT66W Baitcasting rod Vintage ABU Garcia? 6'6" spinning rod 5'5" Abu Garcia Tracer baitcasting rod 6' Zebco Elipse spinning rod 5' Zebco Elipse spinning rod 5' Shakespeare Ranger spinning rod 7'6" vintage fiberglass custom rod with cork handle and slip rings so reel can mount anywhere on handle, possibly handmade.
  18. Please wait until I post the rods and reels, hopefully by tonight. I have to go through it all, most of this stuff has been in storage for 10 years. I would like to sell everything in one package but if that is not feasible I will sell separate packages. Thank you for your patience
  19. Here are the details on the planer board mast. Wille 6' tall planer board outrigger mast, a bolt on surface mount, a flush boat seat mount, and a handful of releases. The mast and reels are in good condition. I forgot to take a picture of the releases, however they are in poor condition and not worth much.
