hey mike,i would have someone check your camp if you can, here in the Adirondacks,we got close to a half inch of freezing rain and some wind in the 40mph range, trees and power lines down everywhere, went and checked on some friends houses who live out of the area this morning and found one that had a tree come down on his roof and did a lot of damage!!!!

Thanks will call the office # I think it’s the same as the house# the owners live just outside the campground property!! The tree is pretty much dead, as the ants have been drilling holes in the base of the tree for years. I’m going to see if they would cut it down. That bad boy will take out a few trailers for sure!!

  2. Yes you can use a primer bulb as a valve so fuel doesn’t get pulled from the main motor, but I have a I/O it will take the fuel with the least resistance, I put a ball valve in. Maybe my bulb was weak or even bad. I just put a ball valve in the main motor line and I ran another line with a bulb on the kicker side of the water separator. Give the bulb a few squeezes and away you go with out the kicker draining your main.

  3. Ok well the lesser of two evils, is not ok but at least no ice on everything and wicked wind is a recipe for disaster!! Thanks guys sitting here 250 miles away and the weather channel showing Michigan getting pelted with snow and winds headed towards Ny State makes for nervous situation :puke: getting pretty tired of Mother Nature actions!!

  4. From the weather channel it is showing major ice going on in Ny. State can we get a on the scene forecast in your area?? Worried about the limbs of a pine tree over our camper in the Black River Bay campground in Dexter Ny. Thanks for any info!!!! PAP. Now their saying just rain?? So what is really going on.

I apologize. Reading my post back to myself, it does sound slightly offensive. Not my intent AT ALL! As I've mentioned before, this site is an awesome source of information and I certainly do not want to wear out my welcome!

  6. In 98 we here in NE Pa. were paralyzed by that ice storm we didn’t have power over a week and my dad didn’t get power for 3 week!! I was still in business for myself and got wind that Home Depot was bringing a tractor trailer load of generators and I jumped in my truck with chains on all 4 corners and battled my way over to Chris Pines Fire House and bought 3, generators 1 for my dad, myself and my Mother & Father in law. Grabbed my chain saw and a chain, I had to cut my way through the trees to get over to dads. He was in a area that every tree that was standing was laying on the ground or wires. I remember Power Companies from other states were headed to NY State as you guys got hammered!!! The remnants of the storm was still noticeably in the early weeks of May. The BRB campground sent letters out that they wouldn’t be opening till the first week of May. We and a lot of others suffered major damage to our trailers, we had a branch go through the roof and the floor and of course my bed room end but luckily not through my bed!!! Yupper yesterday it was 86 and today it’s 36* gee I wonder why everyone has a snoot full of cold, hacking and spitting around.:puke:

Why do you have to insult others just to feel better about your decision on which AP to purchase? In my extensive research, I found Hewescraft is a toy compared to a Duckworth or a few other Pacific style boat manufacturers...it's all relative to your budget and needs. Why spend more money on "the best" when what you actually need might be considerably less expensive and still work perfectly for your needs?

BTW...Simrad has been making AP systems for a long time, and Garmin has had their share of issues with their adventure in the AP market.

About time someone stands up for what works, and not the “Quote” higher end name brand that may or may not even be compatible to the lower price unit. GMC truck owner says Chevy trucks are junk????

  9. Yes sir I got a in-depth story of how these riggers came about and why they got discontinued!! I feel that these riggers will last my lifetime, because Lou was a company Rep I got his and his were the biggest one they made, 8’booms!! They are telescopic, like the cannons. I have a set of Mag 20 Cannons and hate them, they lay in the garage!! I busted the tips off two of my Ocuma DRpoles they are so lightning fast there is no room for error. Glad you responded to this post, glad to hear your happy with them!! Makes me feel even better about my purchase!!!
