Have a 21' proline with hydraulic tabs that are great. Use this boat on Erie and Ontario. The Lund I use mostly on inland lakes sometimes the big pond. I just didn't think it was necessary to go to a power trim tab for the smaller boat. I'm sure it would be better.

Thanks a lot. That's what I was hoping for, someone that put them on for that reason. Guess I'll give them a shot.

The only issue I have it seems is when I'm on plane. Of course the manufacturer says these are the ticket. Just wondered if anyone used them for this problem. Electric would definitely work, I'll look into them. Thanks

Yeah I believe it is because of the kicker. Try to arrange things accordingly but doesn't cure the issue.

Does anyone have smart tabs on their boat. I have an 18' Lund fisherman that leans to one side up on plane, thinking this might be the answer. Thanks

Love it. We walleye fish on Lake Erie and use it a lot to find out how certain combinations of lures, snap weights, lead core etc run. Used it about 3 years with no sign of battery fatigue.

Installed one on my boat and one on my buddies. Built really well, good service, easy install. Got the "captains pack" on both. I'd give it 5 stars

In my opinion nothing's beats a wahoo on the grill! Mahi is right up there, and they all like to pull. Wish I was down there instead of froze to my chair!!

My favorite is a 6-6 1/2' baitcaster medium light action with braid line. The rigs we generally use are sabiki rigs cut down to 3 hooks. Just my preference. Braid line is probably the most important thing, you can feel the bite much better. Hope this helps.

Same thing happened to mine. Sent it back to Big Jon and they replaced the motor. It was still under warranty so didn't cost anything. The cost would have been $160.00

I cut all crimps off and do what Tim posted. I've had crimps fail but never this knot.

Nice ride! I'm boat poor now or I'd take a look. Looks well taken care of and a fair price. If you were closer I'd come check it out. I'm assuming its a 24' with an 8' beam?

This ride is very tempting! I'm boat poor already but looks in very good shape and a fair price.

I'll tell you next week. The old lowrance finally gave it up. Pretty excited to try out the dragonfly

I have a pro-fisherman with the same setup. I bought it used and the ports were already plugged. The guy I bought it from said he got the plugs from Lowes, they fit perfect and don't leak a bit. Hope this helps.

I'm interested in at least 2 of the reels and 2 of the 8' downrigger rods you have posted. Pm or e-mail at [email protected]. I'm assuming you can ship them.
Thanks,

The coyotes will crop the fox population themselves. The more coyotes the less fox. We used to have fox but very few now, lots of coyotes though.

Why didn't I think of that? I've never been accused of being smart! Thanks Hawkeye

I just picked up a couple of saltist 40lc reels pretty reasonable. I know 1000 ft of wire is perfect on the 30's but they weren't available. Question is, how much backing do I need on the 40's to run 1000' of wire to have the counters to be correct? Thanks

Yeah, I fished Province Bay years ago in a 16' with a 15 horse. Watch the weather of course. Fishing went downhill but my buddy from there says it is improving. Medium bay is another.
