  1. If UR losing fish due to a release issue then what was mentioned can be of help .

However if fish like Steelhead r lost via jumping off then u can go to single hooks on UR spoons . Even better I've found the addition of a single hook of the assist type even better . This assist hook snelled on braid & looped on UR rear split ring will lead to better hookups on the Steelies ! I use to use a 3. / 0 gold hook

  4. G Loomis GLX 9' # 10 - 2 piece used twice with STH Golden Salt fly reel w/ new fly line ready to go !

Rod is an original GLX from early nineties / reel ditto - reel is machined one of the best STH produced !

Cork disc drag - line is backed - reel in ex condition barely used

Reel listed for $450. Rod $630 line $65

Sell $675.00 ship from PA FFA !

Great lightweight salmon /. Salt outfit !!

  5. Weigh spool if heavier than standard product then it will go deeper due to weight & profile . If weighs less than it may run same depths per speed but depends on lure & speed for sure .

I had some fly line shooting heads that were tungsten cored , spliced & added above leader , these provided more depth while NOT adding any weights . This material was very thin & insured a fast sink rate! U could make up various lengths & add as needed just loop on off real quick!

  6. G Loomis custom built conventional troll / cast rods thinning out the herd ! I used these when chartering on LO late 70's thru mid 90's ! All original Fuji guides /. With Wiebe custom cork insert & Veltex reel seats . All show normal wear these were my go to spring board rods for Browns / Steelhead . Originally matched with 6500 C Garcia reels & 10# mono ! Put a Lexa 300 on their & ur outfit will weigh in under in under 10oz!!

Originally had 18 but sold some & keeping a few for myself.

3 - 9' two 2 w/ Wiebe insert cork grips hooded , all Fuji guides / TT - one Veltex grip

    1 - 8.5 Ditto but Veltex grips

All blanks rated 8-12 line class

Perfect light sticks for boards & LL applications

Originally $200 per Rod in 70's

Asking $50 each or $175 for all plus shipping from PA !

  7. Probably 98 % of all fluoro carbons R Japanese simply because they were the first to develop fluoro carbon material for fishing applications .

I worked for the first importer of the Seaguar. / Momoi products . We began selling this into the American market about 30 yrs ago.

It was used by LL fisherman for years prior to being introduced to the USA market in mid eighties .

these products R still the best based on their overall knowledge of this product & how to manufacture it since they have by far the most expierance in this field .

Most of the best fluoro products R made by a very few overseas companies with Toray & Seaguar being UR best.

Toray has by far the best fluoro fishing line , is sold thru a west coast distributor , Blackwater products .

Pricey , I've used it for years LL applications practically no memory & exibits very good knot strength .

  8. Good I'm glad they work got U , Cleo's always got it done for me ! However I didn't dpend a lot of time on jetties , just blow days , even then bay had enough trout to satisfy charter .

We jig & squid with them sil / gld best colors with tape !

  9. No for Stripers in fall all 5 / 7 oz Crocks , no meed for Macketel pattern since R mackerel runs r a thing of the past in mid atlantic !

When I chartered Lk O , late 70's thru early 90's , I personally never used the crocks except to cast from Sodus Pt jetties !
