    Yes, saw both those! I've always said that if this Motor came out I would do the Stringers, Transom, and the Bulk Head! That's between $6-8k, then a motor for $3-4K! Is that worth $9-12k? It would be all new but..... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    Hello, while winterizing my 91 Penn Yan 245 Contender I noticed the shelf where the battery sits on port side was rotten and the top half of the Vertical wooden support as well. Bad design by Penn Yan, draining the storage compartments directly on to that support shelf. Anyway, I need that fixed and am now paranoid about any other Structural damages. Anybody have any ideas on who does this kind of work around Oswego area? Thanks in advance.

    I did get a couple of the EZ inserts, going to try this first them maybe weld stud, maybe. Probably pull the under powered POS and bolt in a 4.3

    I am going.to re drill out the hole and put a solid insert, like that one using a jig to properly align the hole. Ive never had a lit of power from this boat but it has always been rock solid for trolling. 3 years and no problems at all. If I have to pull this motor to fix it, I want to repower with a 4.3L just need to kmow if the motor mounts will line up? The 4.3 and 5.0 were options in the Bayliner Trophy 2160.
