As a mate I would say tip according to service. Just remember its fishing. If you see us changing rods consistently but the fish are not biting we are still doing our job. I know when i go to dinner i give a generous tip if my service is great. We remember good clients but always remember the bad ones... And as per pay, many of us are paid min wage. we ALL work for our tip. Don't forget to ask too if the tip is being split with the Capt. That was the mate is not being f$%$ over.

Try to relate your speed/ direction to the boats catching fish. Sometimes fish will hit in a certain direction or speed. If your trolling body baits make sure they are running "true" especially for reef runners. My advice is dont be afraid to ask for tips and buy a good pair of binoculars.

Hey Guys. I am a guide and tourney angler out of the north shore and I recently have bought a go pro hero 3. I have a 64 GB memory card in it. I was wondering if anyone with experience with these cams could tell me what frame settings would be the best for filming for the best quality to duration ratio.
