An up to date post. Fishing by state park ,Penn yan and down maybe 3-4 miles on east side today Friday at 5:00 PM. Fishy saw them and was still selling lures for Trout jigging Thursday.

Wednesday morning the ice is still there. MANY ice tents and fishing people out. Waiting to see bathing suits because temperature is in the 40's. Don't know for how long the ice will be safe .Sunday the ice was about 10 inches thick. Thanks Fishy

If you are going to ice fish State Park this weekend I can post Friday if there has been tracks on the ice. I might want to wear a life jacket. The fire dept. is fast ,but not that fast.

If you are coming from Corning, there is McIntyre bait in Beaver dams on Rt.414 about 7 miles out of Corning. The bait shop on Rt.14 in Montour I haven't seen open and drive by there a lot. If you are coming from Penn Yan there is Beverage Baron behind the Best Western Motel on the corner of Rt.14A and Rt. 54.If you are looking for the LARGEST Tackle Shop in Yates country ,there is Fishy Business on the Bluff by the Keuka Lake State Park. He is open during the winter too but better call  to make sure he is there.

I don't think that you can find this fast service at those BOX stores!!
