  1. My 2004 Yamaha 9.9 kicker started when I put it away in the fall, but when I took it out of my garage last week I could not get it to start with the key on the remote control. No click no electric choke click nothing. I made sure the control was in neutral, battery has 12.67 volts, jumped starter and it does function. Check engine fuse that is good, the only thing I can think off would be the neutral safety switch. Does anyone know how to jump or bypass the switch so I can test that before paying a mechanic to diagnose and charge me and arm and a leg for something that may be simple? Thanks in advance!
  2. Thanks
  3. I had check valve and it was worse I will try a new primer bulb and hose as well as the fitting to the motor hopefully that will work. Something to start with I guess.
  4. Yes it is running off the main fuel tank and I will check all the fittings. I also have a water separator between the fuel tank and both my main and kicker. Thanks for the advice
  5. I have a Yamaha 9.9 four stroke for a kicker it runs great for the better part of the day then all of a sudden starts to sputter and quits after I get it restarted it seems to be running on one cylinder! Anyone experience this issue and if so what was your fix?
