  1. I took out a friend from work today. Launched at long point and fished in front of Wells up to St. Patrick's cemetery. Ended up with 19 landed. A few drops for the both of us and plenty of misses. Steady action from when we set up 645 to when we were done 1145. A few wild ones but most were stocked. All were healthy no fresh scars, and no attached lampreys! (Yes!!!) we fished 75-95 FOW. It didn't matter where it was awesome. Biggest was around 8lbs 28" and smallest was around 4lbs. No hogs but great morning

  2. I left Long point and headed north around 630am. Set up in 75 FOW and started jigging for lake trout. I landed 4 by 9am. All were stocked and healthy. I ran white jig heads with a grey alewife pattern and white and green zoom fluke. Switched over to trolling untill 1130. Ended up with 4 lakers on the 500' copper rod and 3 comin in off down rigger. Kwikfish on the copper and a NBK Michigan Stinger on rigger. Rigger was 75' down in 85 FOW. 11 total. Biggest was 8 lbs off copper rig. 11 total not bad for a solo day!

  3. Great report! I've been many times jigging and to finally have them flip the "on" switch is both awesome and rewarding. Btw were using rubber bodies or hard freestyle jigs? I use both some days one is better than the other. Tight lines!

  4. Yeah I say screw Cuomo. But trying to keep the invasive species down the best we can is good thing IMO. Take the extra time to clean off your boat and help out our ecosystems in the lake at the same time.

  5. There's nothing that scares me about catching that many stream rainbows. What does scare me is that there is still a 3 day bag limit. I think a slot limit and 1 fish per day is needed. By the way, all the trout I caught have been successfully realeased

  6. Yeah it's not in the lake out of the boat, but I've caught 50 rainbows and 2 browns since 4/1 in one cayuga trib and the majority of the fish have had a lot of lamprey damage. Some with fresh wounds too. Another thing I've noticed is that this years average size of rainbows in this trib is smaller than the 55 I caught last April. Being said I got a few fish and saw others with smaller (6") lampreys attached last year. This year I have seen none. Just throwing out there what the tributary fish are looking light. Tight lines!
