Garry try running the ff on one or the other settings without chirp, either the 50 or 83 on the low end or 200. If you can get it on the lower one the width of the cone may be wide enough to pick up the balls without the interference? I had an elite 7 that had those issues but seems good so far with my hds gen 3

I have an 840 and a TD,. I use them both depending on what I'm doing and definitely has helped, but the autopilot without a doubt saved my marriage

Garry does State farm offer agreed value policies? Boat towing? What about epa spills?

Reel overtime, they are without a doubt the #1 insurance company for all charter captains on lake Erie. Bob is a real fisherman who only does marine insurance.

Look up Bob at World Wide Marine. Just talk to him for 2 minutes you'll learn more about boat insurance than every insurance agent that carries home insurance ever thought they knew. DON'T just use your home insurance to cover it! Use a guy that knows why you need 25 rods because the water temps change!

Thanks for the input, I guess I have one more question then, how are you deploying boards on the outside of the riggers and not crisscrossing them?
Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
I just bought a new to me boat & it has outriggers, I have used all kinds of boards for spreading my set but never outriggers. How many guys are using them for salmon? Pros, cons?

Well not sure about wind & waves for tomorrow so here's what what we did so far from Wed afternoon - Friday. 22 kings, 3 steelhead and an Atlantic,. Today was pretty good for us we went 10 for 13. At times dipsys and spoons have been good and others riggers with meat. Without a doubt riggers and meat has pulled our biggest matures. Glad we made the trip!

We ended up pretty good today, went 10 for 13 all kings, broke a major off and had another almost all the way in and it popped off. Our best was meat on a rigger 115 down and mag dipsy 1 setting with green dot spinny and atomik green glow fly. 220 fow was our best depth.

We did make it up started in 300' trolled to 475. Pulled 5 kings 1 steelhead and dropped at least as many. Had some decent bites going between pretty long dry periods. Oh yeah and the current HOLY COW! Back at it early tomorrow

I run a 36v. Bow mount on my 21' cutty with a 4.3 IO, no trolling plate, I run 2 Amish outfitter 28" bags of I want to go less than 2mph for eyes, no bags for salmon, I have never killed the batteries ever and I have fished some marathon days! Plus if you want to anchor up just spot lock and it will hold better than any anchor could. I have perch fished in 2-4' waves with no problems.

So trip is planned for this Wednesday-Saturday. After seeing what happened with the lake flipping. What should we do? Come anyway and look for fish for days or try and reschedule in a week or 2? On the fence on this and just looking for a little input. Thanks!
