If you guys have a cable steered boat there really isnt alot of options anymore. Simrad has a unit along with that lowrance unit u guys mentioned.

What do you mean by hydraulic assists? Is that with a power steering pump on a cable steered boat. ?

Trolling plates work great getting your speed down without a doubt. They are hell on your lower unit though. On my third now in 7 years. Needless to say plate didnt go back on. Lighter boats will see a loss of maneurabilty. Get yourself trolling bags.

If you use wire in saltwater it will deteriote in short time. Had it happen to me on my wire rods I used last fall for stripers. Rinsed well when done but still weakened by spring.

If you have a washdown hose on boat cleans them off easily.

It will work. Just clean boat with simple green to clean and use a wire wheel in drill to scuff up lightly before paint. Did a boat 10 years ago and it is still holding.

Reading some replies and looking at those pics I would fight that battle. Trimming was way over board and then to leave the logs for someone else to clean up? Nah. Not buying it. That private property was defaced. They send out notices because they have to. Most people dont respond thinking power companies have that right. Tree limbs growing into power lines is an act of god

Lake levels are only dropping an inch a week at best and that region is still getting good rainfall. That being said normal levels wont be seen until about December
