  1. If I get a 26ft penn yan with a 10 ft beam how many riggers 3 or 4. I am leaning towards 4. I don't like one in the chute. I was thinking one on each corner and one each side which would be the only way to run 4. Any thoughts would be great.

  2. Took a diver out today to find my probe and rigger weight that got eaten by a shipwreck in front of Hughs. Didn't find what I lost but he did find someone else's rigger weight. If you lost a weight let me know. Thought about posting this for a while but finally decided that this is the right thing to do. I would want my weight back.

  3. I am looking to jump from a 19ft starcraft up to a 26ft penn yan. It's a gorgeous boat just concerned I may be getting into 2 much boat. The thing is huge and I am not even sure if I can drive it! Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.

  4. Question about 450 dipsey and I was wondering this when I heard you on the radio this morning. That far back you have to be at the max depth for any size dipsy. What size are you putting out that far and if I am correct about its depth being maxed are you putting it that far back just to get more distance from the boat? I am relatively new to running dipsys and am curious why so far back.

  5. Thanks for the info and the stories. I wish that had been a fish. Would have been huge. It was constant speed non stop line coming off no shakes no direction change. When I tightened the drag I felt no give at all and loosened the drag again. As was said the line counter may have got reset. It's still a small posability that it was a huge fish. I will try that app. More kings around now good luck!

  6. The hook was not completely straight. Was a new stinger spoon. My question was not if I was hitting bottom or not it was bottom guaranteed. We were in a turn and going over something on the bottom depth went from 118 up to 108 then back down. I will check my line counter chances are that it is incorrect. They are 20 years old.

  7. As always thanks for the info. Been out more this year then ever before and I may be a slow learner. My numbers have not gone up much, but they are up. Will rigger blowback give me a false reading on the hawk? Sometimes I am wondering if it's accurate. I have seen it give me 3.5 on top and 1.5 90 ft down. If my speed looks good and I think everything is correct for what I know then I start to question everything when not catching fish.

  8. How deep are my dipseys! I am using wire and running a size 1. I have been told not to follow the chart that comes with it because it's wrong. Friend told me that it's a 3 to 1 ratio if I set it at 2.5. I hit bottom in 108ft with 150 feet of line and almost lost the entire set up. Using 3 to 1 I should have been at 50 feet. Using the chart I should have been at around 55 or 60. What should I do I need to know how deep I am running.
