  1. I just built a small duckboat and found that Mennard's stocks marine plywood -I believe in 1/2"and 3/4" - if you have a Mennard's store near you.
  2. Jeff, Thanks for taking the time to help me with this! I think that I can rig mine like yours and hopefully get it to work. My buddy slayed the walleye last weekend when he saw that his down speed was too slow for his plugs to work. When he bumped up his surface speed, his rods started firing. He has a Fish Hawk so he was unable to help me with my Cannon. Bob
  3. Jeff, Did your probe look like the one in this picture before you modified it? What is the red device on the probe wire? Bob
  4. Thanks Nathan, but my sensor looks a lot different than yours. I think that your model is more recent than mine. I'll take a picture of mine and try to post it. I appreciate your response! Bob
  5. My 21' Thompson Hardtop came with four electric downriggers and a Cannon Speed-N-Temp unit. I'm trying to rig the Speed-N-temp but am having trouble finding information on how to attach the sensor to the downrigger cable. It is apparently an older model and I've had no luck locating pictures/instructions on-line. I have a two page pamphlet for it but it hasn't been much help. There is a wire loop in the front of the sensor which runs from a lever to a nut/washer. There is also another wire with a snap - which I think is a safety cable in case it comes off the downrigger cable. I'm not sure if I need some type of a clip to attach the wire loop to the downrigger cable or if I need to run the downrigger cable through the nut/washer. Any of you guys ever used one of these? If so, how does it attach?
  6. Hello all at LOU! I'm 10 ga Bob and I live in Ashtabula County, Ohio. I have a 21' Thompson Hardtop Fisherman. I've just retired from RTI International Metals Inc and I'm looking forward to landing some kings on Lake Ontario. i'm a life-long fisherman but relatively new to Great lakes fishing. I've only gone after kings once and my first fish was a 22 pounder in the Niagra River. Looking forward to learning lots! Bob
