  1. Gave up around Sandy. Tried for years when I first moved out here.  Go to Lake Erie and catch some bass. You won't be disappointed. See the previous thread.

  2. With the way Lake O has been the last few years went to the Small Boat Harbor for the yearly bass day. Took a newbe with me who had never been there. As always never disappointed. Took plenty of bass on fatheads out in front of the windmills with the largest 18-19 inches. Water was 68* on top. Nothing at Senica Shoals. A lot of goby's also. Best part was the free launch fee's. During the week over 62 gets in free with just showing your driver's license at state launches.

  3. I have the same unit. There is always give and take as with anything. If you want to see your cannon balls you may have to except that you may not get returns on the bottom when running on plane. Tilted back you may see your balls(sorry). Tilted forward you get bottom return at higher speeds but no balls. Also they recommend  you but the unit in salt water mode deeper than 350'. There is a lot to these units. Read your disk completely.

  4. Each year the DEC surveys duck hunters and region rep's as to what they feel the seasons should be and then take those suggestions and formulate the seasons based on that input(or so they say) within the guidelines established by the federal government.

  5. Fished Long Pond this am 8-12 and brought back 5 perch. 4 males and one already spawned out and saw no females caught. I think it's done. Saw no walleyes on shore either.
