Picked up a couple used down riggers they didn't come with the release clips anyone use down riggers have a suggestion on what type of clips to buy and what lures work best never used em before I mark fish on the bottom all the time and I don't think anything I have runs deep enough for those ones that just hang on bottom

  3. Go down and talk to mike speery he is a muskie Jedi fished with him twice last year got my boat up there on my 1 st solo muskie mission and we boated 5 fish and lost 2 he had all the rod holders tackle and knowledge and he is an awsome guy to talk muskies with

  4. Ok guys we got this lure in a lot off ebay no markings or name on the lure can't figure out what it is but it has caught half of the fish we boated this year on Chautauqua and wannetta any help would be awsome I need more of them in our arsenal

No I'm not a member i see the meetings are in Henrietta it's a little tough to make it up there I'm way to busy to make any as I coach my sons travel lax team my wife and I own 2 restaurants and am heavily involved with the kla ducks unlimited chapter just wanted to do something for the wannetta tourney since it's my home lake and fish it as often as I can could I join in the day of fun if I'm not a member

I horrible with names as well I did talk to a bunch of you guys yesterday and it takes me awhile to match names with faces I'm the guy with the Black and Tan lund I mostly fish wannetta during the week the opener was my 2 st weekend trip as I own a pizza joint in Hport and work all weekend but managed to get out for the opener if any of you guys stop in the shop and I don't recognize u just yell at me and say you are a LOU musky guy and we can swap musky tales

  8. How busy is the launch this weekend we plan on goin out really early to beet the Croud what time does that place get over run with the limited parking up there i have never fished on a weekend I'm usually one of to trucks at the launch on Monday and wensday just wondering what to expect

Well I caught my 1st musky last year and since then it has become an addiction I have purchased 4 trolling rods 3 casting a new boat and have over a hundred musky lures I get musky hunter mag and am constantly on the internet reading everything I can so my advise don't start something u can't finish catching a musky and a successful release is the best outdoors experience one can have good luck

  10. boated. 30 fish perch bass pickerel pike and even caught a few bonus lakers in real shallow with some small rapalas great day I love having weekdays off u guys can keep yer weekends no boat traffic no lines at the launch

Well I'm decking the pro v out in garmin looked at all of them today and I have an echo 500 from my old boat that I will be putting up front and I got the echo 70 DV for the dash love the touch screen dropping the new toys off at seager marina were I bought the boat to get dressed up and should be out chasing lakers on keuka by the end of the week also got a Minn Kota trolling with I poilot thanks for all the advice guys I'm glad I took it cuz if I bought a bran new boat I wouldn't have had the cash to buy all the extras

Was watching a show about fishing for red fish in la and they were using a huge popping cork with a long leader and a jerk bait at the end it made enough noise with the top water cork to attract the fish then they would hit the jerk bait has anyone ever tried this for musky or am I crazy to think this would work
