  1. Pre fished Owasco  tue. Finally got my Dad to go fishing with me again. Been over a year since he has fished with me. It was good to be able to fish with him again (even though he kept trolling at 3.5 -4 mph). I hope he continues to go with me, and his health allows him to go. So, Owasco looks to have a better population of fish than Keuka did. East shore was loaded with fish in the 20-60 fow. In the middle of the lake their were also tons of fish in the 20-40 ft range. Lots of big hooks on the bottom and quite a bit of bait. South end color was a bit green, but the north end was almost brown. Surface water temp was 58-60 deg. Quite a change from Seneca and Keuka, but Owasco is a small lake. Gonna try and get back over their before June 1st, but not sure I will be able to fit it in. I believe the Owaco weigh in is gonna be an impressive one! Should be some nice fish weighed in.

We lost a wheel bearing on the way home, but you'll have that every now and then.

  2. I would agree with that. They are certainly under paid! And any argument about tipping a mate for making your day is just being cheap! Give him what hes worth, and don't quibble about it. You wouldn't think twice about spending 50 on beer! If you know the rules or the status of the situation, shame on you for ****ing! You knew the situation when you signed on. As far as the IRS, shame on you for even speaking like that. What a !!

  3. Yes, it definitely was a well run and an exciting event! Met many new people and everyone was good spirited and friendly. Very professional group of people, both the participants and the organizers. I'm looking forward to the next event!

If someone had a coffee stand open the morning of the Invitational, you could have made some decent money! I was lucky enough to be next to a boat that had a coffee maker aboard and they were kind enough to offer me a cup. Thanks!

Does any one know when whats being filmed is supposed to start airing? I'm sure it's probably not any time soon, but wondered if their was any scheduled date yet.

  4. Like sean said, I have fished charters all over. I've paid a lot more than $800 on some trips, and feel a $50 tip is minimal.  NY charter captains deserve more than $800 for a day trip. Especially on Ontario. He probably spent $200 of it or more on fuel for the boat. If your paying $800 for a charter, $50 tip to a good mate is minimal. Most guys would spend that on beer!

  5. I agree! Nice job today. Put the smack down on us. You were definitely dialed in today. I was on the south end, passed 1 boat trolling. Im guessing it was you.

  6. Hmm... if it wasn't for the points, I would take you up on it. I'd like to have a good finish in the club this year. How about big fish Friday? Im fishing it with my niece and she isn't rig savy. Im not really geared for anything other than rigs at this point. I will be by memorial weekend. Maybe a side tourny for others to get into big fish Fri. With a 6 lure limit.
