  5. I have been waiting impatiently since September to release these. I can honestly say in almost 10 years of working on new patterns and testing patterns with Michigan Stinger this may have been the most productive set of customs I have ever done up. I didn't get to test the Alty's patterns as much as I would have liked mainly because the other 4 were so hot they never left the rods all July & August!

Enjoy guys and I hope u boat a ton of big kings with them!!

  6. JakeyBaby,

Only the show stopper has the same pattern both sides.

All the jeans have the silver scale fin side same as the green and blue jeans already manufactured by DW

The super uv frog has crush glow on reverse side

The salmon coroner and agh have plain chrome on reverse sides

The Dragon slayer has crush uv reverse

  7. The big advantage of the new unit will be the use of the app. One reason is you can have multiple displays now by using the display that comes with the unit and a iPad or smart phone as another. The important advantage for the tech savvy fisherman is with the app you will have the ability to save data. I think this unit will be a hot item in 2015 and will be worth the upgrade price.

  8. I was able to play with the new unit at the end of last year. I can't blame anyone for having a bad taste about back to back new products of that price level. The good news is the probes will work for either display and the transducers are the same so all you will need to do is buy a new display unit if you want the new unit. The ability to be able to save data and store it to review later I think is vital. If you are making an east troll and hook up with a double you can save the data so when you come back through that spot going east again later you can make sure you get the surface speed and down speed the same.

  9. Sk8man I have lost a couple of boards over the years. When I first started fishing lead and copper in around 2005 we used church walleye boards and kept them engaged while fighting fish and I quickly realized that in my opinion it wasnt the right way to do it. I always felt that the pressure of the board wanting to pull the side created a false sense of pressure that made it hard for myself and others to tell how much pressure to keep on the fish. The great part about fishing is there is no 1 way to do things learn little here and there and apply what works for you. Thank you for the compliment on the video quality.

JakeBaby I only use mono when i fish flat lines for steelhead or coho up on the surface. I still use the same releases with very little issues. Just adjust the little screw a little to allow for easy release. I mark my boards with a magic marker like mono/leadcore or copper that way I don't have to keep adjusting them.
