  1. Went out around 1:30 this afternoon with two buddies. Started off shallow making a few passes in front of the mouth of the Genny. Nothing so we moved out deeper in 65feet with no luck! Moved back to the river mouth with a few more passes then headed back towards the bay. In 20ft in front of Durand Beach with the rigger right off the bottom with a white/purple flasher with a purple glow in the dark fly we hooked up with a nice king! After a nice fight we got it on the boat! It was my buddy Andy's first salmon!! post-154741-14108307593879_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14108307743928_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14108307929179_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14108308045978_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14108308177391_thumb.jpg

  2. Went out after work today. Put lines in the water in 50 fow in front of the bay. We headed west keeping the 50ft mark. I had a purple & white flasher with a purple glow in the dark fly behind it on the rigger 40ft down only 30ft out. Had a a rod with dipsys out off each side with glow in the dark moonshine spoons 200ft out like 30ft down. Had the lines in for about ten minutes and the one dipsy rod fired! Swing and a miss! Got that line back in and about 15 minutes later the rigger rod went off, I set the hook and game on!! Took about ten minutes but landed a nice 15lb king!! No more got the fish in the live well and the other dipsy fired! My buddy Rob set the hook, game on! This one wanted nothing to do with coming to the boat! 20 minutes later another salmon in the boat!! The wind and rain kicked up and 3ft rollers started going. I don't have the most high tech set up but it's better than nothing and I think I did a pretty good job for a newbe! post-154741-14104022315826_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14104022435465_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14104022581538_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14104022819815_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14104023038877_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14104023273145_thumb.jpg

  3. I finally got my pontoon set up for salmon fishing! We headed toward the river in 50ft. We had 4 rods with dipsy divers covering between 30-45ft. We had a few small hits but once we got in front of the mouth right at dusk we had two fish on! Lost them both! Guessing in experience played a part in that! Now that we have a small idea of what to do I'll be out almost every day. Got off the water around 9:45. Any info or tips would be appreciated! post-154741-14098867652021_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14098867771843_thumb.jpgpost-154741-1409886789765_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14098868023666_thumb.jpgpost-154741-14098868153591_thumb.jpg
