  1. Honestly the black releases are best for your riggers. You can adjust them to as tight and loose as you want. If you are running attractors on the scotty releases just bury the line all the way. You will see the tip of the pole move when a small fish is on. We use Scotty releases when fishing for lake trout for that exact reason. Save yourself some headache and go with those black releases. We set ours very tight when fishing for kings. 619FOCL+NwL._AC_SL1177_.jpg

  2. Gearing up for the Oswego Pro/Am tournament next weekend, July 9th and 10th. Fished out of Oswego yesterday and found all year classes of salmon and they were chewing. We ended landing 8 dumping another handful of bites by 9am. Largest was just pushing the 20lb mark. Atommik flies and meat rigs took the majority of the bites. Temp was deep but pulled fish out of temp. Here is the link to the event with details: www.oswegoproam.com. Online registrations are available until midnight on July 5th. Entries after July 5th can be found at the local tackle shops: All Seasons Sports, Fat Nancy's, Woody's Tackle, and Sonny's Fishing Center. There are already more boats registered than 2021. Look forward to an awesome event!

  3. Bite was slow on Sat- boated a dozen or so fish, all lakers. Sunday the fish were on the chew, easy fishing. Wind was blowing but fishable. Lunker was a ~ 13lb pike, largest laker was less than 10lb, brown was ~7.5lb. Good fish were brought in. We couldnt break the 8lb mark but had a ton of fun trying.
