  1. Thanks, We saw lots of bait at 25 to 30' in 125 to 150' FOW - didn't see any arches though Hardly saw anything in the deeper water and we went out to 400 FOW. Anyways our next trip will be end of July or beginning of August if the weather permits. I hope we won't get skunked again then:) ACJC
  2. Just fished out of Port Darlington on Wednesday and Thursday and 0 fish. Tried almost everything spoons, flys, plugs, cutbait on dowriggers, Dispsy's, and leadcore. Fished from 125' to 400' FOW - nothing just one single hit in 2 days. Everyone we talked to wasn't having any better luck with an occassional fish here and there.
  3. Hi all, I'm from Drummondville, Quebec and fish Lake Ontario out of Port Darlington a couple of times each summer with my wife and son. We usually combine these trips with camping and some shopping when the weather doesn't permit us to go on the lake. I'm an avid fisherman and spend a lot of weekends fishing at different areas within the province of Québec and on Lake Champlain. I have a 16½ foot aluminum fishing boat so I have to choose my days when going out on the lake - this hasn't really been a problem because I probably wouldn't have gone on the lake when the waves were too high even if I had a bigger boat. We also move around a lot so the small boat size makes it easy to tow. In addition to fishing for LO Salmon we enjoy fishing for Lake Trout, Ouananiche, Walleye, Brook Trout and Pike on our other fishing outings. Just coming back from a trip to Lake Ontario just now - fished 2 days on the lake and no fish We weren't the only ones not catching anything.... all the other fishermen we talked to were also having difficulty and weren't catching anything either. Looks like the fish haven't arrived yet. Where are they????? Anyways we hope to have better luck during our next trip in early August if the weather permits. Anyways I'm sure I will have lots of pleasure reading the posts of this forum ACJC
