  1. We started trolling at the north end in about 110 fow and right off the bat caught a real nice laker ( pictures to come later). After that it was silent for the rest of the morning. Ended up going for bass around 9 am and caught tons of rock bass. Overall not the best day but the laker definitely made things better.
  2. We got out to skaneateles for the night run starting at 630 and trolled till 945. Picked up two rainbows, one was small and the other one was about 17 inches so decent sized. We also picked up two other small lakers. All fish came at 40 feet down over 220 fow and the hot color was green. The thermocline is definitely set up and the fishing is getting better.
  3. thank you looseeye! i going out there for a night run tonight so ill let ya how we do .
  4. great report and nice looking fish ! ill definitely be out there Saturday morning at day break. Did you notice the morning bite was early and short?
  5. We didnt catch any last year and only caught a few the year before . They are few and far between but they do exist ha We used to catch rainbows and salmon very regularly in equal number but we haven't seen that in a long time.
  6. yes, the thermocline typically sets up around 50 feet around the end of july and once it does the rainbows, salmon and lakers stack up around it and its much easier to target them. But that lake holds some nice sized rainbows. Every year i tend to catch a couple 6 lb'ers but last year was a little slower than previous years.
  7. Any time you get a decent sized bow its a good day out there. but that is plenty of information thank you ! ill definitely try to make a run out there this weekend and let ya know how we end up !
  8. Has anyone been trolling out at skaneateles with any luck? ive been waiting for the thermocline to set up and havent been out there in a couple months
  9. Perfect, those are the exact same ones we use on skinny. thanks so much for you advice. ill let ya know how we do this weekend !
  10. im new to owasco fishing and was thinking about heading out there this weekend. What size spoons were used? i typically use the 2'' over at skaneateles and have had some good success. Would those work on owasco as well?
