Thanks Kris,
Had fun for sure -
Fished this morning with a fairly slow start with 2 hits the first 1 1/2 hour, landing a king loosing the 2nd. Then it turned on and we did good til around 9:30 then it died off. We decided after hours of washing lures with only one more fish to switch to eyes. Fired a double and landed the first eye lost the 2nd. Then a sheep head gave us a tussle but got him after a bit. Then a huge king hit the husky and took off like a rocket. Almost Spooled me to the point where I needed to thumb the line. He broke off somewhere between the board and the rod. We cleared rods and were searching for the board that we spotted after a while. After chasing it down he had to much momentum to hand line with 10llb floro and broke us off. I at least got my board back. That ended it for us and the sun was brutal at this point so we called it. We ended the day with a great variety of fish, Kings, 3 Cohos, a Steelhead, walleye and a Sheep. Surprised we didn’t hit a bass or laker but really didn’t target them. All in All a fun day.- 1

Thanks, was happy about it for sure. Over the years any placing fish I’ve boated was when I had non loc people fishing with me, it’s happened to much to where last year I said, that’s it.....if the LOC is going you better buy the ticket cause you never know. Here is my biggest brown I ever caught and would you know I had one person without the LOC in the boat, lol
Great fishing on your part in the nasty weather, looks like everyone is having fun for sure. Nice looking fish!!

I think you hit it perfect

How is the launch at wescotts?
-
Rusty,
I went through that area coming back from walleye fishing and they are definitely Browns and lots of them. -
He has a new fishawk x4d
-
Actually
Maybe that was him, it’s Blue up through the middle now that I think about it -
No
He was in a Bayliner, launched in Stoney and headed from 130’ out to 170 towards smoke stack -
A friend of mine was out past finger yesterday, he was 1 for 7 on kings....idk he said they just couldn’t keep them buttoned. He did get 2 lakers, a steel and 1 brown. I know he said it switched back to a FF bite for Kings. He said temp was down 90’ and the father you went out it was coming up to around 70.
Waves today are 3’ white cap choppers- 1

Went out this morning, ran south but due to waves stopped before the deep water I wanted to fish. Set up 2 divers and 2 riggers both stacked. Fired an 81 rigger 7 minutes in with a nice king in 115 fow. After that it was silent except for a release on a stacker with a moonshine spoon. 1 for 2 and quit at 10:00 as i had to get home for a party. They seem scattered and if you can find the suspended schools they will play but finding them is the hard part. Doesn’t help bouncing around in a tin can, definitely miss the big boat, lol

I’m going out also, not sure where yet, or for Kings or walleye, lol
Heard it’s slow but Oswego is good in deeper water. -
Yes sir Mark, actually the best tasting Salmon I’ve ever had, not sure if it’s the colder water temperature or what. I’m not a “fish eating” guy either...I do like walleye, Perch, crappie, but anything that’s too fishy tasting I’m not crazy about. The salmon I had from 3 weeks ago was good.

After contemplating from 5-6 AM Sunday morning we decided to head out into the violent wind and waves on the east end. I need to ask the question, does anyone have record of the NOAA weather report being accurate? I just get a laugh out of it. 14 miles NW of the Stoney Light it said 1 foot or less. Let me tell you it was 5-7 footers coming from 3 different directions and we had only one option of fishing the inner part of the trench. So we set up in 80 ft off the high rocks and started our troll towards the wall. We picked off a few browns on the way towards the wall. Once we got past the light house it was consistent 5 footers with a healthy mix of bigger. We tied into 3 screamers and after 3 hard fought battles dropped all three an arms length from the net. Got a good look at them all 18-20 lb class. I decided to pick up and head back toward the cut as I just couldn't get a presentation I was happy with. Pulled and headed back set up where we started and focused the rest of the morning inside a little bit. We ended with 3 kings, and 8 browns. Left dock at 7, fished until 1, 80 fow was best, temp was 60-65 down, all spoons, 10 color was good.
Lol I agree, it’s never right, usually I always say, “double it” and you will be close......but this year it’s out of control.......must be the new guy is drunk or really high cause it’s consistently predicted 1’ or less and end up being 4-8’ waves, how can they be that far off. I’m closer looking at the wind speed predictions on the weather channel, lol -
