I want to replace the 1985 Mercruiser 228 Alpha One engine in my 1985 Cruisers Baron 222. What are my options for replacement engines? I don't care if it is a v6 or v8, I just would like to know all the options I have so I can find the best value motor for my money when i search online. Many thanks!

"FishermanUpstate, Did you tell the guy with 28 incher that it was under the legal size limit?" Yes I did, sadly the fish was dead by the time I got to talk to him. He said he would not do it again thankfully.

I hope fisherman are becoming better educated about catch and release and the regulations for the tigers in Otisco. I noticed a lot of small tigers being kept in the pictures at one of the tackle shops. I also saw someone keep a 28 incher, he said he was going to eat it....
