I'm new to fishing lake ontario and just wondered how long the fish are in shallow, and what lures produce the best. Any other information would be great.

My boat is a 1999 and So i dont think its older than the boat.

I know people who have them love them, I liked it to, just no need for a trolling motor.

Are the fish holding tight to the bottom at 60ft? And the kayaks are also required to carry a sound producing device, and 3 nighttime distress signals which I highly doubt any of those guys are carrying.

Went out last night, marked very few fish close in, saw one boat hook up, ended up accidentally throwing flashlight overboard, and didnt get a single hit.

every year I usually make a trip out middle of september. Last two years the day I chose the lake flipped and not even a hit. The 9" steelie didn't even set off the downrigger and ended up drowning.

I'm wondering the same thing and I really don't wanna drive 1 1/2 hours to get skunked. Well let's face it, The only thing I've ever caught out of Olcott on a boat was a 9" steelie. Off the pier is a different story though.
