  1. For clarification, an outboard larger than 10hp needs to have the prop removed, or the engine trimmed up until the prop doesn't make contact with the water. Sent from my SM-N970U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Owner contacted us. Thank you for spreading the word. Sent from my SM-N970U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Attention David Parker of Waterport, NY, or anyone who knows David. We netted your orange Plano box, lid stayed closed but was infiltrated with water. The phone may not have survived but fingers crossed. We are currently fishing out of Bald Eagle for BETS3. Please contact Brian at 585 281 3714 Sent from my SM-N970U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. You may just want to keep it, that particular model is 20 bucks at all retail stores at the moment. Unless you find someone who really likes red because I've never seen that color. Sent from my LG-H962 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. I'd imagine it works with all species. Haven't ran them that much, just started a while ago. I like taking any help I can get. It's pretty flashy. Perhaps use large sticks for bass and use small spoons for trout. I've wanted to run it behind a dipsy but wouldn't be too easy to net on a 16 foot vessel with 2 leaders involved. 6. Oh and by the way, I think all of my rainbows this year have been off sticks on dipsys. I know it just seems weird and looks funny when they're trolled fast, but it just works. Even dark color. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. You may just want to start at the south half right off the bat. Never had any real rainbow luck down there, but the Lakers are abundant and massive. And don't be afraid to go big, 95% of my spoons are over 3 7/8". Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Oh yeah lots of bass while trolling. They're taking spoons just as much as sticks. Got this one in front of your cliff spot I always see you at. Umbrella rig on a downrigger with a 6 inch rapala trailing the umbrella. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Canadice has been extremely slow this year for me, but try the north half of hemlock. Been pretty good to me this year. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. She gone. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. On Wednesday I experienced some. It's 4 AM, time for some trouting. Putting my faith in you, I'll go to hemlock now Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Just in case anybody is wondering, Canadice is gorgeous. No debris and the water wasn't even that murky. However Hemlock was a different story on Wednesday. Entire trees in the middle. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I was wondering why it looked like cramped 4th of July boating at the south end haha Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I feel like this app does a pretty solid job on reports and pictures.. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. I'm going to have to steal some of this advice. I've never considered being in 50Fow for bows Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Yeah I live in the area, and I go to Canadice for the looks and Hemlock for the fish. And if I'm not mistaken, I thought Canadice never has been stocked with bows. Or if they have, it seems like it was way before I was even born, because Canadice for me is just lakers and browns. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Probably my 5th or 6th launch at hemlock this year, finally got a rainbow. 8 pound, 26". Not the biggest but one is better than none. North end, mid day, a purple challenger stick off of a black dipsy. Don't recall the depth though. I'd reckon around 40-50 down. I wish I knew what to do to get nonstop hits though. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. It just put up a really good fight in respect to its weight and fought hard when I put it back in the water. Gave no indication of illness. I was so torn as to what to do. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I launched at hemlock South end this morning, pretty calm for hemlock standards. Got some small Lakers then this came around. 29", put up a good fight so I decided to release it. I don't know if I made the right decision. It seemed perfectly healthy to me.. Really caught me off guard when I got it though that's for sure. 20. Went on Hemlock Sunday for the first time this year, perfect day. Just a little choppy at times. Pretty quiet for a while, then towards the end got a 7 pound laker on a VERY bright yellow spoon with orange zig zags off of a dipsy around 50' down. Perfect size eater, just wish I got more of them. Anybody have any luck with rainbows yet? Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Yeah I've been noticing that they are mostly 3-6 pound slobs of smallmouth. It seems like they stay towards the sides of the lake though Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. How far back from the riggers gets you the most hits? Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Hahaha I just might. Lemme save up this winter. I need to nurse my bank account back to health Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Unfortunately I don't run copper or leadcore yet.. I plan on buying a setup or two over the winter Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. I do run the Suttons slower than everything else, but yes I definitely need to look into the FLT spoons. What about the great Lakes spoons? Are those the same but just bigger? Thank you for the advice I appreciate it Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
